How long before I can send pm's?

How long before a new member can send pm's. I know that I have only been a member for a short period of time and I can understand why it may be necessary to protect members from scammers, but when I get a pm I would like to be able to respond. I don't want anyone to think I am being rude and ignoring their pm's.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the message I keep getting is that I may not have this privilege yet, or something along those lines?

So if you have sent a pm, I apologize for not responding. I can't yet.

You need a post count of 50. Sometimes it takes them a few days to update it though.

I'd say so. You could always PM a moderator and ask. Pretty sure you can PM the mods/admins.
