I am just starting starting to train again after a long absence and I am having trouble with cardio. I can suck up the pain with weights and push to muscle failure no problem. But for some reason cardio just stops me dead in my tracks, partly because of my bad knee, every impact feels like getting stabbed just above my kneecap and I also smoked for 17 years like an idiot. I have been Nicotine free for 2 years now and really need to get past this cardio hurdle, I was hoping you guys could give me some suggestions on how to get going on that. Is there a supp i should be taking? A specific exercise or series of exercises? I am desperate here, it's the only thing slowing me down at this point and I need to get to an acceptable level fast so i can work on a total body program and not be limited by sucking wind. I'm 33 and want to be in overall great shape by September (great compared to what my lazy ass has been the past few years at least) So I would appreciate any advice you guys could give me and what i could really use is a knowledgeable workout partner to help kick my ass in the gym. Don't suppose any of you guy live in Salem OR do ya? lol
