food is your best option.

without it you'll deflate to the size you were before and this time you'll have stretch marks.

Go train, eat, sleep...repeat!

Kids don't want to hear it but "you are too young" and I wish I had your natural test levels at my age right now.

Seriously though, assuming you are a very active individual, you should be taking in between 2681-2931 calories with good protien, carbs, and healthy fats (you will need to see what works for you body, how you respond, and may even need to increase calories to keep body progressing), and train consistently (heavy compound lifts should be your staple lifts...squats, presses, rows, deadlifts, clean and press). Stay away from cardio! Depending on your activity level, and since you seem to be a lean guy you probably get plenty without trying.

You want to be in the game for a long time right? You want to be able to train later on down the road right? If you start taking hormones or roids too early, you could run the risk of damging your body's ability to produce as you get older...are you still awake? :afro:

Utilize your body's own potential for growth while you can, use supplements like Creatine, BCAA's, Glutamine, a solid multi vitamin, a good pre-workout drink like N2KTS from Need to Build Muscle or whatever you may like, and make sure you get your post-workout shake with 35 gm protein, 70 gm carbs within 15-30 minutes from your last set, and from then on eat...eat...eat! Food is the most anabolic compound for your body...just won't grow without it!

If you are already doing all of these things...then just keep going until you reach your body's fullest potential...then we will talk about hormones.

You need to listen to us veterans of the game bro...we will help you along the way. Just keep coming back and asking questions, let us know your progress, and so many iron brothers and sisters here will give you solid advice!:biggthump

Muscle Addiction hit it pretty good.

When I started lifting weights and running about 5 years ago I weighed 164. Within 3 months I was 132 lbs. I was one shredded little guy at 5'10 lol. I worked my way up into the 150's by eating entire families of chickens and schools of fish, while throwing green and orange and red things in there known as veggies. I relied on oats and natural peanut butter to help add the weight on.

Your 20, your young. Your meant to be lean and agile, enjoy it for it will not always be. At 25 years old now I have injuries from my achilles tendonitis to a sprained spine, to a bad shoulder, and it makes staying skinny a wee bit harder.

What you want is layered long term muscle maturity. Learn how to workout. You may think you know how to, but relearn if you are not sure. To be honest hiring an athletic based personal trainer for 3 or 4 sessions would be great because they will watch your form, correct, and ensure your doing things right.

For diet, read around on here and if you really want something hardcore, 3J is all the knowledge that exists in the world on dietetics walking around in a sentient form. He is a good man and will do you right.

You should not use steroids at a young age. The best age that it makes sense is around 25-30 when your natural abilities are waning.

And if you think your eating enough, do what I did. Count ever calorie and protein and fat for about 5 days. I do not do it anymore because my mind KNOWS whats what, but start doing that. You will find your probably severely lacking in protein and diet. I found I did back then and was amazed because I already was eating so much.

Its about sniping your food. Picking your targets carefully, and avoiding the things that will hold you back. No more doritos or cheetos. Instead, bring along some refrigerated cutting board(deli) turkey and whole grain slices of bread. Avoid prepackaged "Long lasting" meats, and try to buy fresh cut meats.

Most areas have butcher shops that are hidden away that will sell you meat in bulk. I know here there is one that sells you a bundle of meat for 100 bucks. Sounds like alot of money, but the meat you get is pretty much equals that in weight and its all cut non processed goodies.

Natural peanut butter. If you are an "Ectomorph" and you are struggling to gain, natural peanut butter will do you wonders. I used to pig out on the stuff.

Nice addition Zero, and you are absolutely right about natural peanut butter, love that stuff! We have a machine at my local organic grocery store that grinds up peanuts into straight peanut butter...can't get enough of it!

To sum it all up...learn to train your muscles properly, get your nutrition in check (write down what you eat, when you eat, and macros to see where you are at in terms of calories and such), and keep on educating yourself here on these boards and others like Need to Build Muscle, Elite Fitness, and others.

We are teachers, mentors, and coaches here...listen to others and do it right!

Use this time to build your base, learn your body's ways and refine your skill set.
Any of the kids I train for military entry all go through a ' hardening' period where all we do is get strong, rather then big, because most teens, ( this include the 20-22 year old's) do not get 'BIG', they get lean, strong & hard. I say most because I've had a few endo's come through that were monsters, ( but they have their own set of issues when they hit basic).
You may also have to accept that your genetics are not going to let you get 'big'; I've seen a few long skinny guys take PH or the real stuff and end up looking really really goofy as they are all out of proportion, which is not pleasing to anyone eye.

Lopez,

You have a short stature, and that can work with you for thickness and filling out faster than if you were taller.

However, I would like to see you maximize your genetics more before screwing around with hormones. Lifting weights fro 7 months is not long, and after 2 solid years -- then you might want to look to hormones to break through to new barriers.
