My good friend went hypo two nights ago. He lost conciousness, started to convulse and froth at the mouth. I got a call from his parents, who were with him at the hospital. I was the only one that knew what kind of insulin he was taking, so the docs told them to phone me. He was taking 9IU of humalog after each workout. He had been doing it for the past 3 weeks with no problems and he had gained 10lbs. He consumed his usual amount of postworkout carbs and protein, yet this time for some reason his blood sugar didn't go back up. He ended up on the brink of brain damage with a blood glucose level of .6 He was in a coma for 10 minutes and he almost died. This shit is scary, so all of you that decide to use insulin, be aware, this shit ain't no joke.
