i go through phones about 2 - 3 tmes a year. right now its been about 3 weeks since i got the iphone 3gs. i have to admit it went beyond my expectations. it's the best phone i've ever had by far. super smooth, really fast, amazing feeling when held in ure hands, fuckin awsome features.

seriously if u guys r looking for a new phone - give this a try. form my understanding phone companies have a 14 days return policy. i bought it with the intention of returning it if i didnt like it. u can do the same.

I actually heard the iPhone will be available for Verizon in the near future. Could be bs but you know how that goes....

They actually did stop selling iPhones online for NY customers bc the phones are used so often by owners that the networks are getting too much volume & overloaded. I agree the network isn't what Verizons is but if you need a sim phone so you can travel outside the US I don't believe Verizon can do that as it's a CDMA network (no sim card)

I have the 3G. It is a fun toy and can be quite useful. AT&T's network is a conglomerate of acquisitions so it really depends where you live as to how good it is. They are upgrading the 3G to 7.2Mbps right now in some markets and 2011 will roll out 4G. They still have the exclusive contract with Apple, not sure how long that last, but it's been renewed once before.

I've had my Iphone for almost 3 months now and I absolutely Love this thing!!!
The video and picture quality is sick!!!
I'm a freaky bastard so porn on the go in top quality is great!
Pictures are as good as any digital camera I've used and easily uploaded and same quality when posted online.
The mapquest/GPS function is great as well especially since I've never used GPS, to have it in my phone is titts.
I actually got mine "Jailbroken" which is essentially hacking the phone to unlock all apps and ringtones for free through an alternate site, plus it allows you to choose hundreds of different "Themes" or "Skins" for ure phone look.
Bad news with that...Apple will not touch it if something goes wrong until u restore the factory software.
There are little glitches occasionally as with anything "Computer related" but it's so worth it.
One problem 2 people including myself have had, 1 of the 2 speakers go out easily.
Since I've had the jailbreak they wont touch it.
Mine was 100 bux with the contract, 200 bux without I believe.
I can't believe I lived without it!!!

Ive had my 3g for over a year now. Love it, no complaints at all. They update the software occasuionally so you gotta keep up with it, software upgrades are free through itunes. An itunes account is pretty much a necessity with the phone.

Yeah I can never update with the jailbreak.
I figure I'll keep it a year and buy a new one since I'm down 1 speaker and have "Red" water damage so warranty is shot.
I LOVE the jailbreak though, the normal look is soooo boring after u get the other options. Lol
