i would agree with bob marley about eliminating carbs, except for post workout. on the other hand i disagree on the fat. fat intake is important for a number of reasons and you can still lean out with a fairly high fat intake. at least i can. recommended fats include sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, almonds, pecans, avocados, olive oil, flaxseed oil, fish oils, you get the picture. not only do seeds and nuts cointain fat, they also contain numerous hormones and incomplete proteins.
