I don't have insurance no more so I had my last injection 6 weeks ago, no hcg to restart either. i am bugging out, i feel like i am not part of this world…sometimes I feel in it sometimes I don't. is this a hormonal crash? I did a female hormone panel test this morning so I'll post some numbers up when the results come in. god help me

If you stopped cold turkey and it has been six week you are likely crashing.

Before you began TRT how low were you Total Testosterone, LH and FSH numbers?

Is there any way you old doc can at least help you do restart? Will you be able to get insurance in the new year under Obamacare?

I did stop, just like that. I was naive to think the new me would last. About 2-3 weeks i started feeling this buzz feeling in my head. A week after that I felt like a zombie in the morning. As for the labs, I have to dig up the old blood work. but test was 239 on a range of 240-1000something , lh and fsh were normal. When I come across the document tonight, if i find it, i'll edit my post. I am eligible for insurance though my employer, if I still have one, but doesn't take effect till jan 11, 2014.

doc did mention I can get a shot of hcg if I ever wanted to have kids, no further details/elaboration.

You should get your results back from them in 24 hours. They are quick with that panel.

awesome

A vial of testosterone is around 40 bucks from CVS with a coupon from goodrx. You telling me you can't afford 40 bucks that will last you between 3-6 months? My insurance doesn't cover it either, but I'll be damned if I let them dictate to me how I'm going to live. ;)

I am really new to seeing docs. so new that this is actually my first time purchasing health insurance. I was in poverty before but things have changed. I can afford it I just thought I had to make another appt, which my boss will not tolerate any time off regardless of situation (hence the if I still have a employer ref. above), to get another script for a refill. And I had no time for blood work either.

and 40 bucks for a vial???is this real life? i was paying 100 something for a vial of depo

Yeah, I think I'm paying somewhere in there. Use the coupon. Sometimes they can't find it but if you get on it, they will get it. I had to switch to Walgreens to get a good coupon, it was maybe 15 minutes to transfer. My insurance was only paying for 2 ML with a $15 copay, so it was cheaper to go the all cash route with the coupon.

Call your old doc or email him and ask him to renew your prescription if it is expired.

It would probably make you cry if you knew how much that stuff really costs. There's a HUGE markup on a lot of stuff like that; it's pretty sickening.

I agree with Megatron, you could always ask for him to fax in a refill over the phone to a pharmacy. Goodrx is just one of a few online coupon places you can just print it out and they save it FOREVER. I used to pay $105.00 per vial, so I went to Costco and was paying like 80 a vial. When Costco mentioned that they were no longer going to fill my script as they had been informed (yeah right) that 10mL would not keep for over a month, they asked me to transfer the script as I was NOT going to pay 50 bucks for a 1mL micro-vial. (That's $500 for a 10mL vial!) That's when I discovered online coupons - they save some serious cash. :)

Keep at it man, you definitely shouldn't have to live with low T. That and it can kill you. (Yes, there are studies proving this.)

My .02c :)

Got my results in. This will also be forwarded to my old doc and i'll see if he can fwd a refill at CVS. or i'll just search around for coupons first then have him fill it at that participating location.
