Looking forward to getting back into the grove of things!

Wednesday is the three week mark for post knee surgery, I have almost no pain and can almost walk without evening noticing I had surgery. The doctor has given me the all clear to start rehabbing the knee so I am looking forward to getting back in the gym again and getting back into the grove.

I have decided to change the way I am working out, I am not a young gun anymore and my body just can't handle the heavy lifting, I am going to try the higher reps with lower weight route and see how that goes. TRT has been great but I have noticed that if I don't exercise I have just a slight improvement energy, mood, etc. wise than before I started TRT.

Libito boost from TRT not really, since adding the HCG there seems to be a little bit of a boost. I am refering more to having energy, not needing to sleep all the time, mood, brain fog, desire to do anything besides laying around. That has all improved a little since going on TRT but when I first went on TRT and was hitting the gym 4-5 days a week it was much more of an improvement. I still have pretty low levels (TT of 560) compared to what many others have who are on TRT. It will take some time but I will get dialed in.

Is 560 a trough level? I personally have had a very positive increase in libido, and every thing else while on trt. My trough is close to 700. I hope you find a good doc that will listen and take your thoughts into consideration.

Sadly yes 560 is my trough level, I started at 64 so I have made great improvements but my doc just is not willing to allow my Free T to go any higher and will not increase my dosage. I think I will be able to find a doctor who will increase my dosage and let me self inject as well.

Spunkey if I recall your free T is at the top of the range so even though you might think your total T of 560 is low, it's nothing to worry about.
When My Total T is around 1000 my free T is still within the range, but you'd get better results then me (trt speaking) because your free T is higher so nothing to complain about there.

It's hard to say when it comes to mood and such. It could just be that you need to start working out to mentally feel better. Plus it seems you had surgery and while this is a positive thing it can also play a big role on your mind being on the sidelines.

Also if you aren't working out your energy could be down because, well, you stopped working out. I don't really know how to say it but when I first got on trt I was working out like a mad man. Went from 202 15%bf to 183 8-9% in the first 5 weeks with abs. Then I stopped working out and now I feel less energetic as well.

Libido is a hit and miss as well.

So not sure if you're problems are up in your head but I'd get back in the gym and workout for a few weeks and then see how you feel. You weren't on hcg in the beginning right? Maybe it's boosting your estrogen too much. If all your other hormones are in range though, I'd say it's either mental or you just had an initial dopamine rush when starting HRT.

Also I don't think you should do more reps. You don't have to lift balls to the walls but you should still be going heavy enough to feel the muscles working say 8-12 reps.

Actually my Free T is on the low side, it is currently 17, I am in the process of looking for a new doctor.

I do agree with you all, I think once I get back in the gym I will feel better, working out always gave me more energy and a positive mood because I felt like I was accomplishing something.

I am excited about getting back in the gym, it has been a miserable few months since I blew out my knee, not from the pain but from feeling like I was making some possitive changes and then git sidelined.

If you are using labcorp your free t is not in the lower range.
