My First Journey:

From what Ive been reading, generally bro's have only kept the Nolvadex on hand incase of sides. Fingers crossed I have seen any as yet, but I have access to it if required.
 
You mentioned a drop in waist size ? So would you say you have dropped bf% or has the rest of you just got bigger in comparison?

It would be both in all fairness. Ive got a lot better definition and have added more size than previous.

Quite confused really as I thought it was one or the other! However there are no complaints from here, and Im not even halfway through yet :D
 
26/06 Update

Welcome back to Cardiff Muscle's pure test log! Tomorrow will be my sixth shot and the end of the fifth week.

Did chest yesterday and normally my max DB press for 10-12reps is 60lbs in each hand, well yesterday I busted out 2 sets of 10 and a set of 8 (this was to failure) with 80lbs which for me is a real big achievement. Also strength on the Bench is solid as we were busting out 176lbs. Now you may think that light, which comapred to my PB, it is. However in this instance it was 4 slow seconds down and 1 second up. Now when your banging out 10 reps of that you feel a pump and pain like no other!

Currently my weight is sticking at 230-232lbs, although my strength is still up as you can see above. Due to this Im introducing an additional 500 calories into my diet. Hopefully, as its a slow introduction of additional cals, Im hoping not to gain to much additional bodyfat, as so far, my diet has been regimented and extremely good. No fast and dirty bulk for me, nothing but clean calories!

Again, I cannot preach enough how good this has been for a first cycle and how it has over reached my expectations. I look through other peoples first cycles, follow the progress that they make, and then am amazed with the fact that the gains seem under their expectations. Im not talking about this board, but others that I lurk on.

I read threads wheres guys run Anadrol at 50mg ED, Test at 750mg EW, Deca at 500mg EW. put on about 25lbs throughout the total time, and complain they are not seeing results they thought!!!! I mean Ive gained an additional 12lbs so far and the difference is incredible! Ive got to buy t-shirts, shirts and sweaters that are one size up and they are still really tight on me on the arms and shoulders/chest. People in the gym are constantly stopping me and asking advice ("yes bro, I put all my gains down to BSM products ;) ") and it plain to see that Ive grown. To cap it off Im 6'3 and initally I found it hard to notice size gain on tall lads as our muscle bellies are longer. How a guy at 5'11 who adds on an addition 20-25lbs and feels he didnt get the results he wanted is beyond me!

Then again, its the same bro's that complain that they have added 25lbs and then kept only 10. A lot can be said for the phrase "the quicker you put it on, the quicker it comes off!"

I suppose what Im trying to say is, why be in such a rush to add componds and burn out your receptors too quickly? Ive said it before and I'll say it again, Its a marathon bro's, not a sprint :D
 
Update - 03/07

Welcome back Juice fans.

Not a great deal to report this week other than I met up with an old friend of mine, who is heavily involved in the juice game and has give me some advice. Before we go on to that, lets go over the normal stuff.

Weight up by a couple of pounds. Im sure that this is due to an increase in carbs and intensity. A little bit of bloat, but this is purely minimal which is good thing.

Overall strength is steady at the same weight, however Im changing work out routines to focus on pure strength and intensity, where as before I was working to 10-12 reps, this is out the window and now it's 8 reps to failure which is getting me a much deeper muscle ache than before.

I want to milk every last bit of gain out of my cycle so it really has been balls to the wall eating AND training!

Week 7 and I believe Ive got the most thus far that I will get out of this cycle however I will not increase the dosage as many do. I want to keep everything the same for the full 14 weeks as I don't want to burn out my receptors with increased dosage as I will be running another cycle as soon as I can.

However going back to the start of this entry, I met up with an old buddy who has been running gear for a while now. He suggested throwing in EQ for the last 4 weeks for hardness (he said to run 100mg every 3rd day). Now Im a novice to the juice game, unlike my buddy. I have stated that I dont want to up the dose, but his suggestion is very tempting. Also he said that he would chuck in the 4 week supply for free!

What do the experienced bro's think? Is this a good idea? Open to discussion.
 
Your buddy sounds a bit confused EQ takes far to long to kick in and out of all the steroids avaiable probably takes the longest to actually see and feel results, if anything EQ is the last steroid to add in for the last 4weeks, plus 100mg E3D is a joke.... if you were going to add anything into the mix for leaning up and hardness then Var would be your best option, kicks in straight away, has very good leaning properties and has practicly zero sides...still this is your first cycle so don't get ahead of yourself like many people and stick to the plan....keep it simple your'll learn learn learn :)

hey keep the updates coming, people tend to read logs but not leave comments so don't think people arn't following this :) Apart from LTD log thats about as boring as it gets ;)
 
Easy there Iron brothers. The update was a little late this week due to the fact that I was so bored in work that I physically couldn’t be assed to do anything………bar get to the gym and throw some weight around.

I received my first real “gym compliment” on the Monday finishing off my chest session. A couple of the guys were discussing lifting and the weights that are available in the gym at the moment. At present the free weight dumbbells we have don’t go over 80lbs. It’s a small gym with around maybe 3-400 members’ tops!

Anyhow these lads were talking about heavy weights and ask one of the gym instructors (who ain’t no slouch, I’ve seen him clean and press 242lbs for 10 reps) why they don’t have heavier weights like the other gyms in the area. Anyway he’s says “to be honest with you guys, we don’t carry those weights as we don’t have members who are all Cardiff’s size”. Needless to say I was chuffed to bits. Its nice to get a bit or recognition for 8 hours plus spent hammering the iron.

Being honest though, as I said its small gym with mainly “fitness” members and I’m definitely not what I would class as a ‘big’ guy. At present still 6’3 and 230lbs, but it was nice to hear lol.

Well back to juice.

Since the last update, and since I have increased my calorific intake……I still have gained no further weight at all. In fact, the increase in cal’s has only resulted in me getting leaner! I take this from the mirror and waist measurement. I’ve now dropped another ½ inch from my middle.

This makes me ponder this.
As everyone’s body reacts differently to the sauce, would the level of test Enth (400mg; s EW for those who have just joined) that I’m taking would be leaning me out due to my height etc rather than bulking me up? Don’t get me wrong I’m not frustrated or annoyed as I’ve gained 11lbs overall, my chest, arm, leg and neck measurements have improved as well as appearance in the mirror; however I seem to be dropping body fat? I will get this confirmed next week when I take a BMI test. I had one done at the start of my cycle, so I will have something to compare to make sure it’s not just in my head.

The thing that really confuses me is the whole diet thing. I’m eating more than I was pre cycle but yet I’m losing body fat!

My calorific intake is broken down as follows:

Total Calorie intake - 4211

Of which

Protein - 353g
Carbs - 347g
Fats - 135g

This all comes from lean and whole foods. Would it be advisable to perhaps add a weight gainer into the mix? My only concern is that this would bring to much dextrose and glucose in to the equation. Another possibility would be to bring in pasta early. My thinking was to progressively bring up the calories every 4 weeks to account for muscle gain. I at present only eat white rice but will replace one of those meals with pasta starting in to two weeks. Would this work?

However I’m only 8 weeks in with another 8 to go, so perhaps my chronic impatience is just coming into play….. :)
 
Just finished reading ure journal up to now and I'm pretty imporessed with how well you've documented everything so far.
It's definitely motivated me to start my own although I'm already 8 weeks into my cycle.
I'd say at 6'3" 230 with the tight waist you're no little guy, by far.
Give yourself more credit.
Though I can relate. Up until the last couple of days I was almost disgusted with my size at 198 when I looked in the mirror.
I think that's another side effect, never enough!! HaHa.
Sucks ure bells only go up to 80's bro.
My gym goes up to 100's & it's not enough.
What's ure post cycle therapy (pct) consist of, or did you mention that?
I still haven't gotten mine yet.

Update time bro's.

Okay finally weight has started to pick up both on the scales and in the mirror (up another 2lbs). I believe Im starting to get the test bloat as Im looking larger now and smoother than before. This however hasnt effected my waist line at all. Still confused on the almost delayed time it took for this side effect to take place as Im now half way through my cycle.

The diet is still tight as ever and lifts are increasing over the board, although due to this I have now encountered a bit of a problem, specially on deadlifts. It would see that I have difficulty deadlifting over 350lbs. The main reason for this is due to grip.

My fingers fall off the bar well before my strength gives out. I just cannot keep hold of the bar long enough to get straight which is frustrating the crap out of me. I had straps but some one stole them and now I have to get a new pair. However I don't want to become dependant on these. Are there any other bro's who encountered this issue before? What did you do to over come this.

As stated before I wan't to milk every last drop out of my juice and hate to think that I may be hindering my progress due to this.

Also I have this horrible knowledge that in just another 2 short months I have to finish my cycle and start post cycle therapy (pct). Im almost dreading this as now Ive "induldged" I don't want to come off lol!
 
i used to be able to dead 405 for 5 reps without straps....but now i can barely hold for 2. since i started benching more, my wrists have been bothering me, could be all the db work too. I use straps for deads and bent-over rows. I'm not going to let grip be a limiting factor, there is no shame here using straps. straps are six bucks, buy another pair and get that dead up
 
I use straps for certain exercises because it helps you concentrate the weight onto certain muscles rather then using another muscle to get the thing moving...I'm certainly not a PL or have aspirations to lift real heavy weight...I'm looking after joints as my no 1 priority...good luck with the cycle!
 
Same here Luck. Im not really fussed over how much weight I can shift, I want to concentrate on size so med to heavy weight with good clean reps.

Dead's are just a bit of an ego thing :D

Skipped a week on the updates as I took time off to recover and rebuild after an intense 3 months.

Changed my training method to the 5x5 method as championed by Needsize.

Diet cals have increased and body weight has gone up 3lbs so looking now at 235lbs. Smoother overall look has come into effect, but that isnt an issue as far as Im concerned.

Thinking ahead and preparing for post cycle therapy (pct) so need to start thinking about using carb cut off to keep down fat gain whilst off cycle.

Ah well shot night tonight, will have a better update next week.

so would you say your gains have slowed quite considerably from the start ? do you think it was worth contiuing the cycle for longer or do you think the regular 12weeks for a test cycle is there because gains slow at this stage ?
 
To be fair although the gains are not as prolific as they were from the outset, I can still see noticeable differences in other areas such as muscle size, weight moved and overall feeling.

Ive increased my calorie count again and will do so for the remainder of this course as I do believe that with a stagered increase in calories along the way, will bolster and produce more gains.

Im basing this on the fact that more size and weight is gained, the more calories you need to maintain. As it was my first cycle I believe the inital blast in gain was purely due to the fact that this was an a higher amount of testosterone in my system. Im pretty sure that the body will build up a tolerance to the amount in the system and therefore unless I was going to increase the doseage (which I won't do at this stage) I believe 12 weeks is where you would peak.
