Newbie thinking of using Winstrol-V UPDATE

Hi There,

I'm a total newbie here, so let me apologies if I err in any forum etiquette.

Here is my situation: I am a 30 year old male, 6'2" and approx 220lbs of an average yet flabby physique. From when I was 17 - 21 I weighed 350lbs... big and fat. By age 22 I had dropped to 185lbs through riding a bike and diet. While the weight was off, I was still left with this horrible hanging skin all over my body. At 25 I had a tummy tuck surgery that lessened the hanging skin around my waistline but did nothing for my sagging chest and "Oprah arms".

I have tried many workout regimes in order to firm up but it appears I am one of those guys that no matter how much I work putting on muscle is a challenge. I have several friends who are personal trainers / workout aficionados who have given me great advice that I've seen work on others but not on me.

Now at 30, I am no longer interested in becoming "huge", I just want to firm up and not be so jiggly underneath. One of my friends suggests doing a 3 month cycle of Winstrol-V (tablets, 25mg a day taken in the morning) to remove some surface fat and firm up my muscles. What are your thoughts?

I currently go to the gym 5 times a week and work out different body parts each day so as no to over work areas. I am an avid cyclist and currently ride 30km a day (15 in the morning, 15 in the evening) and I take 8-16 mg of ephedrine before my rides. Is there any danger using ephedrine and Winstrol-V together? What sort of side effects can I expect?

My diet consists of five small meals a day, mainly chicken and vegetables with some brown rice and I start and end the day with a high density protein shake.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks!!

tell your friend a few things: first off WINSTROL DOES NOT BURN FAT, it has no fat burning properties as does any steroid, secondly 12 weeks of any oral steroid is very bad for your liver. Do a little more research, diet and excersize is what actually takes the fat off. Winstrol (winny) will make you appear tighter but thats it.

how long have you been lifting because i would wait until you have been training for at least 6 months so you can get some natural mucsle and get the body used to working out, also i would not do Winstrol (winny) as a first cycle, i would stick with test

Very interesting! Thanks for your responses!!

Hopefully I can clarify some of what I said and give you a better idea of the results I am trying to achieve.

As far as using Winstrol as a "fat burner", I am not. My diet and the cardio is for that. I'm looking to firm up the underlying muscle and tighten up what I have. If I add to the existing muscle, great... as long as I do not end up looking like Lou Ferigno or Batista.

I have been working out with weights consistently for the past four months. Over the past ten years I have had periods of up to 2 years sticking to a strict ('roid free) program with very little change. I've never really "let myself go" in that time, spending at least 4 - 8 months of each year on some sort of physical regime.

And yes, I am hearing and reading from many sources that a 12 week 25mg a day oral dosage of Winstrol tabs could be quite harmful to my liver. That being said, and with the above information can anyone here make a recommendation for another direction for me? Also, how long after a "cycle" does it take to clean your system of Winstrol or other toxins?

Thanks!!

Winstrol is a good choice but not longer then six weeks.
I think you should do 25-50mg ED for 6weeks and see what you think.

Many have bad experience with winstrol because they dident have low bodyfat or the dident eat right during the cycle, wtf do i know about that, but one thing i know: ITS THE GOOD SHIT!
Good LM gains and it transformes the body in a very pleasing way.

Winny for pres!

No Winstrol. If your goal is just to get a good body you need to workout and have a good diet plenty of protein and slow burnig carbs. If you are prone to get fat, add cardio.
As others said, winstrol doesn't help burning fat. Bodybuilders usually use it when cutting because it helps to maintain muscle when burning the fat at it doesn't give bloat. Also it doesn't convert to estrogen, so it doesn't increase fat anabolism.

no such thing as a pill that tightens the skin. The Winstrol (winny) wont help or hinder your fatburning so it's not part of the equasion.
you need:
*surgery to remove the excess skin if you think it's a problem
*more diet to remove the rest of the fat (or have it removed with the surgery while you're at it)
*hard workout with perhaps Winstrol (winny) after all this.

Wow! Thanks for all the responses! I've never got this much input from any other board, you folks have gave me a lot to think about... like how to get test in Toronto. HA!

Thanks!!

i am on other boards i think this board has a very large following and you can get a lot of advice from different people's experience but remember most of us are talking from personal experience that is all and take it for what it is worth.

Use test it will help you put on some mass and its a better choice IMO and Thiomucase tightens the skin.

Hi Folks,

I just thought I'd update you on what I decided to do and what I found the results to be.

Against the advice of the board members I went ahead and did a Winstrol only cycle. A little history....

I am a 31 year old male who used to be quite obese (350lbs). I lost the weight back when I was 22 - 23 in about a year and a half. This left me with a hella lot of extra skin all over my body. When I hit 26 I got a tummy tuck to take care of the skin around my waist but I still had a ton on my arms and so much on my chest that they looked like boobs. Surgery at this point wasn't an option so I started working out... naturally for the most part but I did use ECA stack for intense cardio days.

By 29 I wasn't seeing the results I wanted, so I threw in some creatine and started hitting the weights more than the cardio... I always keep a good base of cardio in my workout 'cause no one wants to weigh 350 again! I have some friends who've used gear and started doing some research. Since getting HUGE wasn't my goal, rather I wanted to firm up the muscle underneath the loose skin to make the whole package less giggly. I came to the realization a while ago that I would never have a body of a greek god what with the many scars left from stretch marks and such, I just wanted to be the best I could be.

Anyhow, after looking around and taking the advice of people I knew and trusted I decided to go through with a Winstrol only cycle in September of 2005. I took 25mg in the morning every day for 12 weeks, maintained a very strict diet, went to the gym 5 - 8 times a week (30 cardio / 1hr weights different part every day with extra emphasis placed on core exercises) and tried to do my liver well by ingesting 750mg of Milk Thistle at night. Keep in mind, I had been on the same diet and exercise regime for eight months before that.

So... what were the results?

Well, like everyone told me Winstrol is NOT a fat burner. A lot of people take this drug and think the pounds will melt away. They don't.

I started my cycle at 220lbs (I'm 6'2" so that's not so bad) and a 37" waist. I ended my cycle at 215lbs but a 33" waist. I have put on quite a bit of muscle on my chest and arms, don't get me wrong, I'm no Batista and I would in no way consider what I did to be "BULKING" but I did add more muscle in the 12 weeks on Winstrol than all the time off it. As a contrast, my buddy cycled the same time but with a base of test and he more than doubled my gains... so yes I would agree with the masses that Winstrol is NOT a huge muscle builder. But... I did loose 4", gain 20lbs in lifts and got better muscle tone (tone - not size) in the six weeks.

Since being off my cycle I have lost an additional 10lbs and got below 210lbs for the first time in three years... I have also managed to keep my meager gains and the muscle does indeed seem firmer and has stayed that way.

So... is Winstrol a miracle drug? No. Did I achieve my goals? 60% yes. No. Did it help me? Yes. But I will ad this caveat, the results I experienced may have been attributed to a placebo effect. I told myself before the cycle that I was going to make the most out of this opportunity... never skip a gym day, be extra strict on the diet, etc. Even though my routine and diet was the same as before I cycled I may have subconsciously put in that extra bit of effort just because of what I knew.

Sides - I didn't really notice any to be honest with you. Maybe a little restlessness the first week or so but that was it.

Will I cycle again... maybe. I'm still far away from perfect but I'm getting a little closer. So, I hope this helps someone... or not. This was my experience is all.

Cheers,

El Fantistico
