Older women and Anavar

Hello Ladies,

This is a great site with a wealth of knowledge. I have been reading numerous post's here in the Ladies forum trying to find women with my situation and have not had luck yet.

Getting straight to the point and stats; I am two months from turning 52. (Many people assume I am 10 years younger due to by my appearance and mental attitude) I've had a hysterectomy, one ovary left, no HRT, 5'9" 165#, history of melanoma. I don't know what my BF is, but can tell you I wear a size 10/12 in ladies or 11/13 in juniors. All labs WNL one year ago, BP 110/70, resting pulse 55. Active with sports, aerobics, cycling, power walking, yoga, fitness classes, free weights etc most of my life. Worthy of mentioning I fell off my activity/work-out regimen from 2002-2007. I got back in to road cycling, power walking and yoga/stretching in 2008. I eat chicken, fish, pork, veggies, salads, rice and no alcohol.

Since turning 50, I just can't seem to keep what I've had. I have had great definition before, receiving many comments. I have noticed the definition has been fading. I assume I am/might be entering menopause. (No history on the genetic mother). If this is aging, it sucks. I have become frustrated with my routine since I can't seem to achieve anything noticable. I've gotten discouraged and stop going to the gym. That in itself is just wrong. I just do not have the drive/energy I used to have. I know our bodies change after we hit 50. Our waistline increase, skin loses elasticity blah blah..

Welcome to the world of Anavar I say... I've never taken any AAS. I have been researching and have spent many hours reading about Anavar (var), sides, cycles, dosage, diet, exercise etc. I am ready to start a cycle yesterday!!

I am looking for any suggestions to my rational; I want to start a 1st time cycle now while rebuilding. Would it be in my best interest to keep trying to rebuild without help of AAS or to start my cycle? My goal is to lose 20 lbs and get back the definition I used to have of compete muscle tone, not big bulk. Any suggestions from women will fall on open ears. I am not looking for text book answers, but real experience.

I can help with one or two things....


Age...heck yes..fat comes quicker and stay s longer. My motivation is not what is was but then I don t cycle anymore either...

Since your trying to cut and not build..but retain, avoid catabolism..I feel safe in saying Anavar would be the one to use...low low dose..5-10 mgs.

A female will come along and either endorse me or kik my ass for saying this....the ovary hyster thing is a variable I can t factor in..

How long ago did u have the hysterectomy ?U didn't go on HRT because they left one o Anavar (var) y right ?

U could be experiencing the beginning of menopause, I understand how getting older & seeing our bodies change affect us.
Sometimes finding the motivation is hard, specially if we don't see the results we're looking for.
As we age our muscles generally do lose strength, but what your seeing (the lack of definition) is most likely due to those muscles not being challenged enough.

I see you do yoga, power walking, road cycling & stretching, are u doing any strength training ? If your not, u should include this into your routine. Strength training has many benefits, specially giving your muscles more definition.

u should post what your diet looks like, loosing weight or what ever your fitness goals are is really 80 % diet.

I honestly wouldn't suggest you start on a Anavar (var) cycle, Anavar (var) won't help u loose weight, & if your looking to lose 20 lbs, you really need to have your diet dialed in & your training.

You can achieve this naturally. I hope you stick around, feel free to ask ass many questions as u like.

i can only help with anavar....dont take more than 10mg per day for your 1st time using it. Once you know how your body reacts to it feel free to play with the dose but be very careful your first time.
 
Thank you all for the replys! I appreciate them all. Here are answers in no general order to some of the questions asked;

Hysterectomy when I was 36, makes it 15 years ago, uterus, both tubes, cervix and one o Anavar (var) y. Yes, left the one good o Anavar (var) y to avoid HRT. From a medical standpoint, I have no idea what my one o Anavar (var) y is doing floating around. I asked the MD, when I ovulate, where does the egg go since there is no longer a means of exiting. He said the body will absorb it. (I find the whole o Anavar (var) y floating around thing strange)

Menopause, I don't believe I'm entering it yet, no hot flashes, night sweats or mood swings. I have a sister just 10 months older than I and she reports to exp some of the meno symptoms a few months ago.

Diet; MORNING 7:15 am 2 pieces of double fiber toast with very thin amount of almond butter or natural peanut butter 16 oz black tea. LUNCH 12:00PM 2-3 cups of lowfat cottage cheese with either 1cup of tomatoes or mandarin oranges OR large salad with 2-3 oz chicken breast, no dressing just dry spices. Snack is either a protein bar or granola bar. DINNER 6:00pm alternate days approx 4-5 oz of chicken breast, salmon, pork, or ground turkey with rice, whole wheat pasta occasionally, beans, and or salad. I was a diet soda drinker 20oz per day, but in the last 2 weeks have eliminated it from my diet. Approx 64oz + water daily. This is the standard.

My metabolism has always been slow, kind of the norm for me. Even at my fittest, I could eat a 2 servings grilled chicken salad at lunch and be good to go till the next day. Maybe a snack later in the evening would be popcorn. I know the body needs fuel, but I never was good at force feeding. I supplement with; Vit B-100, C 1000mg, Liver milk thistle 1000mg, and a 5000mcg of biotin vitamin.

This is where my thoughts of Anavar (var) come in at. To get the muscle/definition I used to have. I never really did heavy strength training as it pretty much came easy for me and I chose to have physically demanding jobs. I used to be as strong as a horse, could bench 140 lbs but had to work at it. My guy friends would comment on my strength and muscle, never wanting to piss me off LMAO !! To me, age is just a number. Even though some suggest I can get back to it naturally, I personally feel I cannot. I am strength training now, but just started again. My goal is to get where I used to be, 145-150 lbs, 18-20% BF.

Appreciate additional suggestions/comments from all.

I definitely agree age is just a number, Jenner is 44 & looks amazing. I think is great that you want to get back in shape :)

I recommend u check out our diet forum, 3J can giv u free diet advise or can custumize a diet for u if u become her client.

From what I see your lacking protein in the morning, for me personally when trying to cut I do a high protein low carb diet, carb cycling works really well for me.

Also u want to eat every 2-3 hours,
too much time between meals will slow your metabolism.
As your last meal u want to either have
red meat, or casein protein, since they are slower digesting & will continue to nurish yoour muscles while you sleep.

If you decide to run Anavar (var) , u can run it for up to 12 weeks, but for first timers it's best to do an 8 week cycle.
What's sugegsted is to start at 2.5 or 5 mg....no more. You can take half at morning and half at night or just take the whole once per day.
First cycle....start at a low dose and watch your body carefully for unwanted side effects. You can always up the dose if need be but once you have certain side effects occur they are permanent and you can not go back.

Many girls report water gain while using Anavar (var) .
Jenner has run a Anavar (var) cycle & can tell u what her experience was.

But, u do need to have yoru diet/training dialed in, for the cycle to be worth runing.
 
Thank you Jennifer and Mrs P ! I will adjust my proteins and carbs. Honestly, I don't know how I can consume food every 2-3 hours, but am willing to adjust that too. I know diet is the most important aspect of training for anything. I'll push ahead for one month with diet/weights/exercise and if I don't see what I am looking for, I'll most likely run my 1st 2.5 dose cycle of Anavar (var) at 8 wks. I have no desire to do anything above 10mg.

Thanks for understanding the "if you're going to cycle anyway" advice. We women sure have a tendency that when we make up our minds we forge ahead. I am going to follow the other rookies posting here with their 1st cycles of Anavar (var) and learn. Great site and love the fact there are women here to give actual experience. I love the men, but there is a reason why my gynecologist is a woman!
 
Hi Pandie, have you looked into HGH at all? Some refer to it as the fountain of youth... Good luck with wichever path you choose
 
Due to her history of Melanoma I would not consider HGH a viable option for her. While HGH will not create new cancer cells if there are any present it will greatly accelerate their proliferation.

Pandie I think that if your mind is set on having an anabolic boost, anavar would indeed be your best choice. From one older athlete to another, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

Sounds good Pandie, u know I sometimes have to kindda of force myself to eat every 2-3 hours, but it's gotta be done, right ? :)
Once u do this for some time, your body will adapt fairly easy.

I think is great your taking this time to tweak your diet/training before jumping into taking Anavar (var) .
