From what you described, and from what is known about bodybuilding and muscle physiology, the workout just isn't legit. All I can tell you is try it out for yourself. Then, you won't have to rely on what others tell you. You will know firsthand.

I stopped reading the mags a long time ago because of stuff like this.... it may work to an extent but not as well as other programs, If you really want a prison workout, go shoot a hooker and find out for yourself ;)

Most prison training routines are focused around powerlifting. They have interprison powerlifting meets. I saw this on T.V. just the other day. And...yes, there are shredded inmates, but they didn't ge that way by using that routine.

Good point. Some inmates are big, but some are not. Just like some of us are big, and some of us are not. Take their weights away from them. Put everyone naked in one room and tie the biggers guys hands together. Also, i think they overtrain their muscles they are working out. You guys know if you don't work out you chest in 6 weeks, you start to loose mass.

Although, I have seen the t.v. where some big prison guy put up little over 600. I think his nick name was Man Doer? He had a T-shirt on that said, I can do anyman!

it was just saying that immates that go for the first time, they arent knowledable with weights, that those are the only exersises that they know of..so they do a routine like that, and he said he saw them 1st hand getting huge.....now im just typing what i read, i know that there are neglected mucles in that work out IE back/delts/LEGS ect. but ah-wel

F**K the inmates,,, I believe that anyone should be able to have free rights and be able to do what they want, but when your taking away from someone elses rights (which most of the people in prison have done), then that's a different story. I don't even know why they let them have weights. Because half of them just work out all day, and then the rest of their day, they fuck other men in the ass, and plot more crimes their gonna do when they get out.

But more on the topic, i don't know how well that workout would do. I've never really heard of anything like it before, and I don't plan on trying it. doesn't seem like it'd get you big or ripped. Try it out though, and let us know how it went.

Keep humping and keep pumping.

I worked some at corrections (not as a guard or anything but on the computers). There are no weights at our prison! And the meals they serve won't get you big or get you cut! I now work at Fire-Rescue and there are some big Mofo firefighters!

I work in a large county jail and can tell you that our guys only get acces to a universal. The max plate weight is 200lbs. So in all actuality they can only ever bench like 170lbs because those machines are horrible. I will tell you this though, the biggest guys I see in there don't even touch the weights. They stick to push ups, sit ups and pull ups. They swear by it. The biggest guys go anywhere from 10-15 sets of 50 reps with push ups, mixing in diamond push ups, then do 10-15 sets of 20 or more pull ups, and finally try to get in 500 crunches and 250 crunches on each individual side. They keep there legs in shape by jogging in place or by playing basketball when the weather is o.k. They like this workout because they can get it done in the small space that they have. They typically try to complete this whole routine in 45 minutes or less. So if you are looking to add some mass to your chest and triceps and to gain some staimina try this out. I would reccomend that you start out trying to do 5-7 sets of 25 push ups, 5-7 sets of 10-15 pull ups and as many crunches as possible. If anyone has any luck eith this routine let me know. Please keep in mind that I am not a trainer, I just call it as I see it.

Well aren't a lot of black dudes in prison? Aren't a lot of black dudes jacked even though they have a McDonald's diet? Thats just genetics bringing out the freak in them. There are a lot of big ass dudes inside but then there are a ton of malnourished crackheads as well.

Arnold did a scene in one of his bodybuilding movies where he is in a prison showing off his body and teaching the guys how to lift weights. Is it OK to have weights in prison now, hehe???
But I must admit, why should they get those kind of privilages? Do we need criminals who are bigger and stronger coming out, than when they went in? Scarey shit!
And another thing. I know a few ex-cons and they could get whatever recreational drug they wanted in prison. So I should imagine theres a few gang leaders on the juice too?
