Rib Ligament Injury Question Please Help

I injured myself a year ago lifting and working labor. I had loosened/torn the ligament that connects my rib to my spine. So the rib head slipped out. I also a had trigger point, muscular damage and I could not sleep for months due to pain and involuntary muscle twitches in leg (restless leg syndrome) , butt, arm, that cause body jerks when entering a relaxed state.

I went to chiros, physios, doctors. Nothing worked as rib ligaments take FOREVER to heal, and any cracking, manipulation, exercise made the symptoms worse.

I finally went and got Prolozone injections. After 3 months it helped and I was feeling 80% better. Last week I went to an osteopath. I made sure he did not crack me, although he told me I was on my way to healing well. He said my rib was still a tad out, he pushed on all my ribs and claimed to push it more in and spread the surrounding tissues for better circulation. I felt no real pain at the time.

It is now 2 days later and im sore and having symptoms ive had at the beggining of this whole fiasco. Pains, twitching, no sleep, sore etc. He defenetely aggrivated it, clearly it was not fully healed.

My question is instead of prolozone (ozone+b12, procaine folate etc to cause blood ciruclation for healing), is there not better methods I can use here to repair a rib ligament?

Can I not like Inject GH or Test directly into the ligament? I refuse to believe no NFL players/bodybuilders have never torn rib ligaments before and recovered. They must be doing something I am not. Because after 1 year it is still not healed.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

NFL players just have access to better doctors. From personal experience some of these chiros don't know what the hell they are doing. They are only in it to make money and will just work you over while getting the most money out of you. Seeing one of these regularly would probably make it worse and would take your injury longer to heal.

You need to find an osteopathic physician (D.O.) especially one that also specializes in sport medicine. They are trained in spinal manipulation and also understand their anatomy or disease and know what they are doing.

Its all about finding the right doctor that will help your problem and not make it worse.

u dont inject test into your ligaments or tendons . it doesnt work like that . its not magic and doesnt have healing powers like say corticoe steroids. u need to inject test IM (intra-musclar) where it enters your blood stream and works it thing . hgh on the other hand does apparently have some healing properties , but i dont know much about it .

Well i believe I have Myofascial Pain Syndrome (trigger points, cns malfunction etc) as well as Joint dysfunction (the actual rib ligament which is torn)...My osteopath seemed pretty educated....at this point to me it seems nothing can really heal this but some type of injections to thicken the ligament. Like prolozone/prolotherapy or HGH etc... Ive already used prolozone with good results although Im wondering if there is something else that can be done. I wish I could find a doctor who would inject GH or IGF-1 into the joint.

There seems to be more going on here than just a torn rib ligament. Seems like there might be some spinal misalignments or other hidden problems that would be causing the trigger points and CNS involvement. An MRI is always useful to find these hidden problems.

I have had one of these type of injuries and all I had was PAIN with no CNS involvement. And guess what, after many years I still have pain in that area. Some of these type of injuries really never go away completely. The best you can do is rehabilitation along with drugs. Drugs like testosterone won't heal any joint or ligament injuries, unfortunately. I have heard that HGH might help these sort of problems, but I have no experience with that drug.
