I am thinking of starting the 5x5 Routine soon and was wondering if this was a good routine for bulking

Day 1 chest/calves

5x5 flat bench
2x8-10 dumbell incline
2x8-10 dumbell flys
standing calve raises 5x15

day 2 back/shoulders
military press 5x5
side laterals 3x8-10
deadlifts 5x5
chinups 2x8-10
shrugs 2x8-10
rows 2x8-10
bent over laterals 2x8-10

day 3&4 rest

day 5 bis/tris
close grip bench 5x5
standing barbell curls 5x5
weighted dips 2x8-10
incline dumbell curls 2x8-10
skull crushers 2x8-10
preacher curls 2x8-10

day 6 legs
squats 5x5
leg press or hacks 2x8-10
stiff legged deads 2x8-10
leg curls 2x8-10
seated calve raises 5x15
abs

day 7 rest

Another thing I was wondering about is the time You rest between sets on a routine like this and the time you rest between different lifts?

How long have you been training for? Age? What type of workouts have you done previously? Ever used 5x5 training before?

Im 22 220lbs and about 16%BF and lifted in highschool for 3 years took 2 years off and now have been trianing for nearly 3 years straight. I have always done my old football workout which was
Monday/Wensday
Legs & Shoulders
Tuesday/Thursday
Chest, Arms & Back

Which now I know is a bad routine, and no i have never done 5x5 before, but I am anxious to try it and see the results, Right now i want to bulk up to 250lbs by the time august comes around.

I sorta like it. You could easily make that a 3 day split and might get better results. Also, on back/shoulder day maybe try doing back 1st since its a much bigger muscle group. Shoulders should not need that much attention/volume since they get hit every day.

How would I make this into a three day split? Put the leg workout in the afternoon of one of the days?
Also does anyone have a recomendation about the rest time between sets I used to take nearly 2 minutes but now I have heard thats way to long of a rest?

Keep it simple bro. Most people (training natural) grow best on something like this. you can change some of the exercises/reps to fit your need but make sure you are always doing HEAVY squat, dead, bench. Eating is just as important training, without either you will never grow.

Monday:
Squats 3 x 5
SLDL 2 x 10
Calves 2 x 10

Tuesday:
flat bench 3 x 6
incline dbs 2 x 8-12
military press 2 x 8
db side laterals 1 x 10
CG bench 2 x 6
dips 3 x failure

Thursday:
Pull-ups 3 x failure
Dead lifts 3 x 5
rows 2 x 6
Standing wide grip curls 2 x 8
hammer curls or reverse curls 2 x 8
heavy abs 2 x 20

IMO 2 minutes rest between sets is fine, just keep switching it up and you'll find out what works best for you. now go to the gym...
