There seems to be a problem with having huge people in weight classes. GSP, Anderson, and Jon Jones all need to move up a weight class. If your that talented, you shouldn't need to have a huge weight, height & reach advantage. GSP doesn't, but he is just too dominant, too not move up.
I have noticed this has been an issue since Tito & he used it to dodge all those heavies that would kill him, until his foil in Chuck came along. I have been watching since 1996 and became a fan because of Royce Gracie and Vitor Beflort defeating far larger fighters because of their talent.....*that* is great too watch. The reverse isn't.
It's a really simple solution, just have them weigh in much closer to the fight. If they can't make it, they pay half their paycheck to the other guy. No one will die from dehydration, they will just move up to their true divisions.
