So ive been lifting for 3 years now, and played sports my whole life. ive done everything to gainh with little success. eat like apig and trained like a beast only to see 10 lbs in a year. heard cutting out cardio is a good change rest of course and high weight low rep 4 to 5 sets. is there anything else anyone can recomend? 26 195lb 12% 6ft4

Less cardio, and switch up your routine. If your always doing 4-5 reps, try a week where you do say 8-10 or something. Try new exercises or just ones you haven't used recently.
I personally like to switch up my rep ranges every week, keeps my body going wtf.

you eat like a pig huh??

im willing to bet your diet is wack...

im 6'4 and almost 100lbs heavier then you...

if you wanna get big, click on my free diet advice sticky.. read through post 1 and post up a proposed diet...

J will hook you up. 10lbs in a year is nothing to sneeze at though. Especially if it was all muscle or you dropped some fat.

yea i agree with that..

but its still below average imo...

u should be putting on 1lb a week naturally.. having 60-75% of that be muscle

It was all muscle. i stay at about 15 to12 % body fat. my diet could use a little coaching though. i try to eat alot of protein good cal and good carbs. Not going to lie though could do better. i suplement weight gainer and caisen. along with sperolina and omega 3s. so is 10 good in a year? and whats gear? a cycle? what foods or suplement would u recomend for a baller on a budget? just read your post jami and it looks like i need a second job to eat that much. god dam! but will do whatever it takes to hit 230 245. (my goal)

actually no u dont.. u gotta buy big and store in the freezer.. im on a student budget and i get by

RPA do you have a walmart supercenter where you live? If so man you can get bags of frozen boneless skinless breasts for like $6. Lean ground beef 93/7 for even cheaper by the pound. You can enough brown rice to last a year for like $15. The only thing I wont buy from walmart are my steaks. 5 lb bags of russet or idaho potatoes for like $4.

and drop all that extra crap like sperolina, omega 3s, and weight gainer. You need REAL WHOLE foods, which are alot cheaper than that fancy shit you are taking.

also, i can guess your routine is prolly in need of a boost. Remember, you gotta get strong to get big, not the other way around. LIFT & EAT BIG to get big.

Here's a link to a great routine that i use every cpl years to get me back to basics.

One pound a week naturally?! 52 pounds a year??? if he could keep that up for five years 50 pounds would look pretty darn good.

well, remember your gonna have to shock your system..

so your better off cycling through bulks and cuts and changing up your diet
