to my understanding slin is only useful when in synergy with other compounds. it allows them a direct route to your muscles, mainly hgh, igf, etc... and test doesn't hurt either. doing it with no compounds is only going to give you the fat storing negative effect of slin and none of the positive effects because you aren't using any other compounds. the amounts of slin you have to use for it to be worth it are pretty intimidating even WITH a bunch of compounds so you doing a few iu here and there with nothing else is just making you feel super neat about yourself and nothing in reality.

You don't even need it. Unless you're already pushing your body beyond its genetic limits and are consuming enough calories that REQUIRE insulin - you're just taking an unnecessary risk for no reward.
But it's ridiculously obvious that you will do what you want to do, so go ahead and keep sticking your hand in that fire - you'll eventually figure out that it's hot.
FYI: Bridges are old school, before we fully understood how the body works with AAS. Folks that are dedicated (read: competing) would be blasting and cruising, not trying to fill gaps with pancreatic hormones or orals.
