Tendinitis and EQ

Epic Ed

Still acting 1/2 my age
Anyone else have a bad time with tendinitis while running an EQ cycle? I'm currently in the middle of running a 12 week cycle of 600mg test/600mg EQ and I have never been this achy and sore. It's not a joint pain -- it's clearly a tendon and ligament issue and it's hurting everywhere. Forearms, elbows, biceps, shoulders, hips, knees. WTF? The pain is keeping me from jumping up the weight in most of my lifts. The extent of tendinitis might not be due to the EQ but that's the only variable I can think of that's different right now. Just curious if others have had similar experiences while on EQ.

I've stayed on for 20wks + EQ at 800mgs a wk (the only dose that really does anything for me) and i have never had that experience. It seems to lean me out and the vascularity is over the top. Towards the end i usually start having some cramping issues but no achy joints or tendons.

I've had this happen from running Aromasin at a higher than normal dose.

Osteo Bi-Flex works very well for me whenever I have tendon issues.

Not sure about the EQ?

I am a big fan of EQ. Nothing like that for me in several cycles.

Your body is telling you something: to many sets for too long? On too long? Time to completely shake up your training in reps, sets and exercises?

A week OFF during cycle has worked wonders for me but go back at less weight with a new plan and avoid the moved that aggravate this condition.

I was out of town most of the week and today was the first day I've lifted since last Saturday but the aches are probably a little worse than last week. I did some light lifting on Wednesday at the small gym at the hotel but that's all I did all week. Something is up and it might not be related to the EQ, but yeah -- I feel like I'm 80.

i thought that EQ was supposed to be good for your joints. have u run test @ 600mg a week before? when i was on 500mg a week my joints were hurting so bad, it felt like i had the flu only i wasnt sick. just tender, sore joints. the only way i could deal with it was to pop 600-1000mg ibuprofen a day. or if u are running an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) too high that could be it

I'm on EQ and not having that problem at all, though I'm only doing 500mg/wk. What Aromatase inhibitor (AI) are you taking?

eq sore joints

i agree there must be another culprit besides the eq. I have run it lots of times and never had anything like that, not when I could not pinpoint the cause. i will say that on eq i always had that tight feeling like the day after you train higher reps, lighter weights, which i rarely do...lol.
Did you say you were running an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) or no? even a week off may not be enough if it's from overtraining, but sounds like something else in my humble opinion.

600mg is a pretty typical on-cycle dose of test for me. I'm running LiquiDex .25mg E3D and I've found that's the sweet spot for me in past cycles. I've tanked my estrogen levels before from running too much of an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and the aches aren't from that situation. Weird...I'm at a loss.

Nope never and I've used a lot of EQ. As a matter of fact I just added it back in to my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) a few weeks ago and the slight nagging biceps tendonitis I was feeling in my left arm has completely gone away.

Just to follow up with this thread. My test/EQ cycle ended about three weeks ago. I stopped the EQ but I have enough test to keep running 600mg for another month. I'm three weeks post my last EQ injection and the joint pain/tendinitis is all but gone. I do not know why but EQ seemed to have fucked me up. This was by far the worst experience I've had with AAS and I've even run tren E before. I made absolutely no strength gains and my mass gains were marginal. I just couldn't lift heavy stuff because of the pain. So, in my book -- FUCK EQ.

i doubt it's the eq or the test... just plain old tendonitis, nothing u can do about it. It's something that catches up with all of us eventually after years of lifting. Like CFMike said, ur gonna have to take some time off (couple weeks) then come back and stay away from the lifts that give u the most grief.

hate to say it, but tendonitis is almost permanent... it will come and go for the rest of your life, part of the game

what lab made your EQ?

Z.

As I alluded to above, the severe tendinitis set in with the start of the cycle and despite actually taking a week off THREE times during the cycle my problems persisted. My routine, aside from doing less work, has not changed. I'm still lifting five days a week (varying volume and weight, etc) but I feel worlds better three weeks post EQ. I'm not trying to imply EQ will affect anyone else this way but for me, this has been my experience...and it sucked.

I'm pretty sure the thread about eq/deca/primo/anavar helping your ligaments and tendons specifically stated that you need to keep testosterone at the 150~200mg range and THEN you dose your other drugs higher.Dosing testosterone any higher than that range (300mg+++) will reduce collagen synthesis by up to 80% go and read the sticky for more info.

Ive always run either Deca or Equip for my joints and never had that issue. But everyone is different and you know whats working for you. I have elbow issues right now thats slowing me down too. Sounds like your working it out though.

Have I not made it clear above that I'm still taking 600mg of test (this week is my last week of 600mg)? I realize I haven't laid out my entire cycling history but it's safe to conclude based on my rep points and time on the site that this isn't my first cycle running test at 600mg. I'm also still running an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) of Liquidex .25mg E3D just like I always run when on cycle. It is, however, the first cycle I haven't run some form of a 19-nor compound. Bottom line is for me the test/EQ cycle sucked ass, and having eliminated all other variables I can only conclude that either EQ or this batch of EQ in particular did not mix well with my body chemistry.

Thanks, man. I'm not asking anyone else to make the same conclusions about EQ nor am I stating that EQ is going to suck for anyone who takes it. All I'm doing is relating my personal experience and posting it up for posterity so that if someone down the line has bad aches and pains while running EQ they'll at least have this thread to reference.
