Hi guys, I***8217;m 18 y/o, Recently went in to my doctor for anxiety, depression, insecurity, lack of confidence, lethargy, gyno, you name it. Testosterone total came back @215 and everything else was normal beside sex binding globulin, which was low @ a level of 15. She said everything is normal, which 215 isn***8217;t normal lol. She said you don***8217;t need to do anything, or check base with your main doctor if you***8217;d like. Anyways some stats about me, I***8217;m 220, 5***8221;9***8217; can deadlift 405 and squat 395, I have been powerlifting and doing HIIT here and there for a few years now on and off. I***8217;m a bit on the chubby side but I***8217;d like to think I***8217;m decently strong. I***8217;m not sure what to do tbh, my brother is a year older and has a full beard and lots of body hair in general, I barely have a moustache lol. Anyways my moms brother recently got diagnosed with low test, (I have my moms genetics). What the fuck should I do? Btw estrogen was at normal levels.

215 test level - is that in ng/dL? If so that is very low, and any doc that tells you it isn't an issue isn't worth having.

At 18 your options should probably lean toward something other than TRT. Maybe try clomid mono-therapy, or a run of HCG. Doing those things in a controlled way and posting up blood testing that shows LH and FSH levels will give you clues to know if you are primary or secondary hypogonadal. Once you know that, and how you respond to those approaches, you can make a better plan going forward.

1st Question ~ are you on now, or have you ever been on any Prescription Medication, if so, which ones.

2nd Question ~ is this Doctor that you saw, a Specialist, or just a General Practitioner.

If the Doctor was a GP, you really need to see an Endocrinologist.
Cause at your Age, only a Specialist is going to put you on TRT.
With your Total Test @ 215, you are Definitely a Candidate............................... JP
P.S.
F.Y.I.
The Reference Range for Males ~ 17 to 18 years old, as stated by the Mayo Clinic is 300 Ng/dl to 1,200 Ng/dl.

So your Doctor is Misinformed !

Lots of replies for you from top experts in this field, come back and get some op.

Holy shit guys, thanks for the responses, I checked back on this forum every week for the past 3 weeks but didn’t get any notifications or anything. I am really sorry for not responding, anyways, no I have never taken any test boosters or steroid of any kind. It was a gp it was an appointment I got on short notice, it was a femal doctor. Not sure if that makes any difference, she seemed very skeptical when I brought up possibly having low T. I’m taking ashwagandha have been for a couple months, please note that 215 ng/dl total test was after 2 months of using ashwanda. I ate a lot of red meat as a kid and I don’t know if that is coming back to bite me in the ass . I’m a vegetarian and have been for the last 6 years I eat eggs though. And I am about to start fish. And I’m really sorry for not responding I didn’t know that this got posted. Thank you guys!

No nothing of the sort. No rec. drugs, drinking or anything. Nothing illegal I guess you could say.

My age was possibly updated to 18 by a mod I may or may not be a year younger than that. And yeah this was 215 ng/dl total. I’m going into my normal doctor for a physical check up on the 7th I’ll talk to him and see what he says.

My bad for not coming back and seeing the responses. I swear I checked every week but couldn’t see any updates on the post lol. My bad

No, nothing prescription that is major beside antibiotics here and there . And it was a gp also. I’m going in on the 7th for a follow up with my male doc. Who is a male, he might be a bit more understanding.

Well, you've got some complicating factors going on. Why would you think eating a lot of red meat might have hurt you? It didn't.

And why would you think being a vegetarian isn't hurting you? I might be. If I was 18, had been a vegetarian for 6 years, and essentially had the test levels of an 80 year old man, then I might ask if diet had anything to do with it.

Your lifts are strong so it's not all clear cut bad news, are the symptoms you are feeling a recent thing or long term?

And ashwaganhda is great stuff, but might be considered a testosterone booster.
