Numbess in both arms caused by shoulder pain

Overnight both arms starting to go numb. :wtf:Before it was just the right arm. [Sleeping face down] With the pain in shoulders, the numbness quickly travels to the hands, then to the forearms.

The lack of pump that had disappeared as noted in Friday's workout is back even while doing nothing and sitting around.:elephant:

Multitude of factors i suppose contributing to the lethargy and lack of drive all week along.

Joints

Changed nutrition a little - last 2 weeks. Cut out weight gainers on off days, only protein shakes. Bloat may be reducing substantially a result of weight gainer reduction and/or body getting used to T/E.

Lack of sleep

Supra-Physiological changes

Maybe even a little over-training? Reduced volume substantially since first 2 weeks on cycle and in general on 1st cycle to gain maximum benefits -- still may be much? Pushing too hard? - that's the way i would want it. Body not catching up quickly enough? Or just a natural response after pushing hard for 6 weeks? Then 7th week shocker?

What is the best thing to take for joint pain?

3rd day on Taurine - so far noticed no difference in pain/pumps.:freak:

increased intake to 2000mg

Even with simple tasks i.e. brushing teeth, walking around = back pump/pain. Repeated activity exacerbates. Contrary to my suggestion of having to do tasks at 45 degree bend over in triggering pain. Pain/pump still there, however 45 degree makes it worse as more of the back muscle is utilized in completing the task.

wow sucks about the back pumps hopefully its just that and not a sign of something more serious.or a freak injury.great log here by the well its laid out nicely and very indepth

No mich never had a problem before the T/E.

I think on my 4th day on Taurine (Monday), i am starting to feel a difference in the lower back. Will test the theory with tomorrows workout.
Also added 100mg Potassium starting Monday. Will also add Magnesium.

I am taking multivitamin daily w/ b12. I don't think enough. I suppose the body's requirements have increased. Hence, the pump and debilitating pain at times w/ the increased toll the workouts are taking on the body.

8 weeks on Jan 20

14th shot completed left glute (2:57am).

Forgetting about 1/2 the time to aspirate. Even the days i aspirate, hard to see if blood coming in syringe, unless shooting in -- which is what would cause me to pullout.

Only once upon pullout did i see a drop of blood inside the top nasal cavity of the pin. Had no problems even that day. Maybe a drop of blood. Always using the 22g 1.5". Overall no problems so far, scarring, abscess, or anything else for that matter.

New personal best on Flat Bench Press

Last week i thought i lost my Mojo. However, as i correctly hypothesized the week before that the body -- both physically and physiologically was showing signs of going through a new phase of growth and is. I am starting to even see some vascularity (i.e. the veins are starting to come out - started w/ feet/hands/ arms/ even left thigh, now forearms). Forearms starting to notice just this week.

Monday evening Jan 17, 11 trained Chest/Bi's

1 hour prior ingested
1 ASA 325mg

Prior to workout did 15m stairmaster (skipping one step at a time) level 3
Lasted 12m then the pumps in back/legs got to me. Finished off at level 1 - 1 step at a time. No problems thereafter on back or legs due to pump/pain post 5m of stretching.

CHEST
Bench Press
Did a few more sets than usual. Finding the longer i am into the workout. I can push harder and do more. Completed pull-ups w/ row warm ups.
3sets*225lb *10 (doing 10 easy now. Prior to this i was just besting my Creatine/Glutamine bests usually 2 months into the cycle.)
1*295lb *1 reps (NEW PERSONAL BEST)
1* 315LB*(failed on first rep) then did 2 more negative reps

Incline Bench Press
I think a matter of just getting used to this. Due to massive trauma on the body in the past certain exercises/machine apparatuses i stopped doing. i.e. instead using dumbbell or smith machine etc. Last week had pain the next day or so. As i log in wed morning, no problems.
2*185 8-10 easy
1*205 *8
1*225lb *6

Decline Bench Press
2*225lb * 9 and 8 reps

BI'S
Pullups (not weighted)
4sets* 8-12 getting stronger in this. The extra 25lb i gained on cycle so far is finally becoming second nature. In the past on creatine/glu i could add a 45lb plate even at 220lb BW (post weight gain 10-15lb) and do reps. Tried after i gained 25lb + w/ 45lb plate on chain = only able to do a few reps - 3 weeks back.

Now i think as my muscles open up in terms of strength, flexibility, more regulated blood flow, i can start doing that again w/ a plate (45lb) or two. Since creatine/glu gains came slower my strength usually caught by the 2 month mark. Here if i added 45lb was like really doing 70lb w/ 25lb + i gained in the first few weeks.

EZ bar curl
2*75lb *8-10
3*125lb 5-7 reps (Note - new high -doing it much easier than i did 115lb just 2 weeks ago).

Dumbbell curls
2*50lb each* 7 and 8 reps each

No abs

Anomalies
The pain that was there last week inhibiting progress is becoming second nature. As reported by others i have lost significant bloat on face and abdominal area. The shoulders are getting broader while getting harder and leaner.

:scratchhe
u aint high jacking a thread doe...if you post a new thread you should get plenty of help.

as for the lab, ive never used them but then again im about as new as you are buddy haha

i think that guy was just trying to solicit, nothing more. Saw a few more threads where he was posting the exact same message.

Great log mate, very interesting to read. Glad to see you haven't had much trouble in the way of sides so far. Best of luck!

hey bro, nice log.

i think the scar tissue issues with pinning tend to be on the inside not the outside. plunging the needle thru formed scar tissue. if possible i'd try to get a hold of a few smaller needles to try them out. i was using 23g for the first half, switched to 25's i like the feel of them although for some reason when i am first puncturing the skin where the nerves are the 25g hurts considerably worse than the 23g. but after that it is noticeably smoother going in, and i would assume would be fairly different long term in the scar tissue department.

just a thought...

keep up the log, you and i are almost identical here, very interesting. i'm up near 245 right now, started over 30 lbs lighter single digit bf at nearly 6'2.

about the blood... don't worry too much about a drop of blood in the barrel or needle tip. that can happen as you're pulling out, if you aren't keeping constant pressure on the plunger especially, the syringe will want to pull something in to relieve some of the built up pressure.

14th shot completed left glute (2:57am).

what are the total results so far?

I just finished test e @ 500 mgs/wk and noticed that as I was getting bigger/stronger and gaining weight I felt like my cardio and energy was going up pretty rapidly too. exp any of this yet?

As for pumps, I had some pretty crucial ones in my lower back too. Had to stop a few days short on leg days. Esp when I got to stiff-leg deads....hahaha didnt last too long in those, even doing them with great technique. ANYthing helping you yet?

AAAANNNNNND I'd be sure that you aspirate EVERYTIME...I would definately read this bro... http://www.healthandfitnesstalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2176 (Thanks to StoneColdNTO)

Great info vic. I forgot more than a few times to aspirate. Sometimes at the back of my mind thought 'it is the buttocks after all, hard to hit much, if any veins'. But still gotta be careful after reading that article.

"like my cardio and energy was going up pretty rapidly too. exp any of this yet?"

Finding my cardio was never really affected. Was breathing hard, now normalized. I could still breath hard and train just as hard. However, my problem was/is always the pumps/pain in the back that usually stopped me from doing/completing cardio beyond 10-15 minutes, like i would normally do.
Even now what i could do say at level 5 on StairMaster can only complete at level 3. Add to that the pumps in the legs. For those doing first cycles it is more common?

"getting bigger/stronger"

How much did you gain overall -BW?
Bench? Squat? Dead-lift?
With post cycle therapy (pct), how are you doing?

Did not know that. Tx for the tip bro. Thinking though the viscosity of the oil gonna be hard to put through 25g.

Contrary to what many said to me about gaining 28lb, even a little more is possible. Nicely done bro.

Thursday Jan 20th - completed 8 wks

after 2 day rest

Thurs Jan 20th trained Legs/Tris

Going from -20 to +20 degrees [Celsius] kind of hard to get in training mode right away or at all. Today was one of those days.

Prior to workout did 10m StairMaster level 3. Normally always skip 1 step, did half/half today.

LEGS
Smith Machine Squat (Olympic style)
1*195lb * 10 reps
3* 285lb * 7 7 7 reps [each time tried 8 reps could not. W/ Olympic style was literally touching glutes to the ground. I found this to be much harder, but easier on the knees]
A lot of pain in the shoulders holding the bar. Literally have to let go of especially left arm to rest it after a few reps. Muscles are tight and not flexible rotating them back. Flexibility is coming back but not everywhere, especially the shoulders.

Calves (sitting down)
2*3 plates = 135lb*10-12 easy
3*4 plates = 180lb*7-8

Leg Extension
4*210-150lb 6-10 reps (going for contraction, not max weight).

Leg Curls (lying down)
4*110lb * 8-10

Tri's
Close grip bench
2*185lb *10 each
2*205lb*6-8 reps

Machine cable skull crushers (sitting)
4*60lb-40lb 8-10reps (elbows feeling a little stiff w/ intermittent sharp pains. So took it easy, again went for feel analogous to leg extension).

Dips (not weighted)
4* 8-12 reps

Anomaly's
The elbow/shoulder pain is there, but not enough to stop me from completing workouts, much better than last week. The weather lately more of a factor in keeping me back i.e. caught a mild flu Thursday.

The hunger binges that i experienced for about two weeks are gone. Sometimes i try to eat dinner a little bit later, then a shake and snack to stave that off before sleep.

In some observations my opinion may be biased. However, when approached from a third party perspective definitely seeing thickness in arms, protrusion of shoulder muscles, w/ significantly less bloat. Some days the bloat comes back, but not to the same degree. The bloat is more likely now due to the diet, than the initial shock the body went through.

Normally very dry skin. T/E keeping the oils on the face primed. Shed like a dog all year around due to dry skin. Significant benefit i suppose. However, because excess oils the occasional pimple comes and goes every week or so. No puss or anything.

By the way should have noted this a few backs. Have cut down on weight gainer shakes on off days. So in-taking 1020 cal less(w/ milk up to 1500 less calories). However, whey protein and food intake same or more.

BW is steady 235-239lb

15th shot right glute completed Jan 23/11 2:09am

Missed by one day. Was due last night (Friday), however wasn't feeling well.

Had to inject twice to get it right. First time injected, kind of w/ the sway of hand needle slid out. First time was painful too, because i pushed the pin in -- instead of doing it a little faster from about 1/2"...like kind of throwing a dart. Anyways second try worked w/ a drip of blood on pullout.

Consensus usually around 4 or 5 day marker for T/E half life to keep blood levels steady. Does missing it by one day throw levels off? This has happened three times now. I skip exactly 3 days and inject on the 4th.

Anomaly

Also since yesterday morning kind of feeling dull pain around left nipple. Not itchy. Nothing visible. Kind of just dull. Saturday later in the day pain mitigated. Seeing no signs of gyno or any other type of flare ups that would be the cause of this.

Nov 25, 2010 started 1st cycle Weight 214lb
T/E 500mg wkly/ 14-16 wks (thinking 20wks total).
Dec 12, ^18lb
Dec 22, ^22 1/4lb
Jan 12, 11 BW ^up a few lb @237-242lb range last few wks
Completion Feb 23, 2011

Completion was slated for Feb 23, 2011.
Missed 3 days for scheduled shots. This cycle likely completes Feb 26 at this rate.

However, thinking of extending cycle to 20 weeks to match the dosage dependant study on T/E cited in the American Journal of Physiology on Endocrinology and Metabolism. Thanks to StoneColdNto, this study is what i'm basing my cycle on.

"In this trial 61 men, 18-35years old were randomized into 5 groups receiving weekly injections of 25, 50, 125, 300, 600 mg of Testosterone Enanthate for 20 weeks."

Could have done more to match the study exactly w/ a 600mg dosage weekly. Due to ampules and not bottles, this was not an option.

General consensus in studies, research, as well as anecdotal evidence suggests higher the dosage, the better the results. But where does one draw the line?

"The study demonstrated that there is a dose dependant relationship with testosterone administration. In other words the more testosterone administered the greater the muscle building effects and potential for side effects."

honestly I wasnt looking to gain alot of weight. I was trying to stay as lean as possible and get as much of the strength gains as possible. I gained bout 15lbs.
I had problems with my knees, one more so the other...my patella tendons are deteriorated/deteriorating and kill me just walking up and down stairs so I just did light weight, limited ROM stuff for my legs. Im very sure I could've gone up quite a bit if I was able to lift legs like I like and want to. I HATE not doing legs. Deadlift--not really a deadlifter...havent done it since highschool but def going to pick it back up. Everyone tells me how great it is for total body work and boosting strength. Every other lift went up with ease. Bench I ending doing 455 x 3-4, which i have done before but not for awhile. My stamina and recovery went through the roof. I wanted to stay at the gym all day. As soon as I left I felt like I needed to go back and do more hahaha I love it because I love being in the gym haha...

and yeah Im an idiot broke college student and didnt do post cycle therapy (pct), which I will NEVER do again, so I pretty much back where I started.

Starting my next stack in 2 wks. the same test e at 500 mgs and maybe eq @ 400 mg. I HAVE to find something to fix these joints. I have major knee and shoulder problems and need something to help subside the pain/repair the joints

Solid results still Vic w/ all those injuries, w/out squats/dead-lifts. I'd love to have a bench press like that. For my bw, i don't consider my bp strength to be great at all. Squat/deadlift even in my late teens i was able to do nearly double my body weight, bench not even close.

"Didn't do pct". Hey bro we live and learn. Use it as a learning experience. Were you back to square one after in terms of all strength gained?

T/E w/ Eq should be a solid cycle. Throw in some dbol at beginning for the first 4-6 wks. I have have same cycle planned w/ Dbol 30-50mg in mind.

On the injuries and training especially w/ knee problems, I hear you bro. When i broke my tendon in the knee. Let alone walk properly up and downstairs, i had to lift my leg with both hands off the bed for a 6 weeks+, as i could not move it. Then after i had to drag it off. Going up and downstairs, i had to hold the railing for a full year +.

Not a cure but from anecdotal evidence i'd say try Deca in your next cycle, to alleviate pain.

Btw for me you know what helped was getting back into gym, since your already there. Have a full day of legs like you would normally train all other body parts. It keeps the muscle from wasting away. That was the advice of 3 different orthopedic surgeons.

When doing leg press do single plates, 1 leg at a time. Use hands to assist. Same applies to leg extension. For leg curls do both legs, can do singles. Furthermore, add a cycle of glucosamine/choindrotin (nowadays available w/ MSM. Ensure the Glu/choin together though, those are much more important) 3 times daily for 6 months.
Plus for cardio w/ focus not on endurance, but on strengthening
i.e. if stair climber skip a step & curl leg to build hamstring muscle on way to next step.
Stairmaster - due full motion, not like most people i see at gym doing it. They are literally floating in the air taking 2" steps. Take full steps until you nearly touch the bottom. Focus on interval training as not to waste away muscle for 20-30m each day.
