Testosterone increase on 5 wks of TRT

I have been on TRT approx 5 or 6 wks. I had to stop for 2 wks for a medical procedure. I got private bloodwork before jumping back on TRT. Was taking 200 mg once per wk of test cyc. My pre TRT levels were approx 170 test and 14 estradiol. My bloodwork after 6 wks came back approx 1900 test and 139 estradiol. Is that even possible? I called the lab and said " I think you guys misplaced a decimal". I didn't even think it was possible to jump that high that fast. I'm going see my dr in about 1 wk so that he can run the bloods.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Thanks

200mg is a lot for most guys and will put many of us over 1200. 1900 is surprisingly high but possible. What do you weigh?

5'8" 165lbs. I just never thought my test and e would jump so fast. I had tender nips but no signs of high estrogen. No gyno signs.

My skin did get really oily and small amount of acne on my back area. Nothing major.

Just curious. Why would you have to stop testosterone injections for a medical procedure? What kind of procedure? And what do they do with guys when they have endogenous testosterone?

I completed PRP procedure. The dr noted the procedure would induce an inflammatory response. He was concerned with the peps and testostrone that my body would come back too fast and the inflammation would not occur. He wanted me to stay on the peps cuz he wanted as many growth factors as possible in the blood when he took the platelets.

He asked if I would lay off for 2 wks since the test cyc life cycle of 2 wks.

Platelet rich proliferation. Advanced form of prolo. They inject your blood platelets into the damaged ligaments and tendons to rebuild cuz they lack sufficient blood supply. Essentially they are injecting growth factors/ hormones into the injured area. They put 50 shots into my lower back and hip. I spoke with several ppl who have successfully completed the process on their knees and shoulder.

Mega - do you think that type of jump in test level over a 5 wk timeframe is realistic or possible?
Thanks.

Dude.. You are injecting testosterone in high doses... Of course it's possible. It's not like you added some vitamin D3 and this happened :) And, you say you had no signs of high estrogen, but you had sore nipples... So you had signs of high estrogen.

For a therapy level of T, you obviously need less test.

When I started TRT my T jumped from low to 1600± in a week or two with 140mg test c weekly and 250iu hcg twice a week.

I actually am using D3... Lol... I just didn't expect a jump that high that fast. Dr noted this was a mid dosage range and that it could take 6 months to get up to upper bound of 1100-1200. Never expected it this soon and 1900. I'm going to restart at 100 mg or .5cc. And get bloodwork after 1 month. Will continue peps.

Jim- just curious. What test c dosage did u settle on? Or u still use 140 mg.

My Dr and I agreed we were having trouble dialing everything in so I went to the basics: approximately 100mg test cyp weekly, injected EOD (28mg per injection), subq using insulin syringes in stomach fat. I say approximately as its actually 7 total injections every two weeks. So 7x28mg is 196mg of test cyp every 2 weeks.

Last three readings on this protocol, each 2 weeks apart...

TT 780 (348-1197) E2 17 (3-70)
TT 929 E2 15
TT 849 E2 18

Sounds like your doc is a little misinformed.

Fair enough. Guess I will review other drs in the area as well as discuss with my current dr. Any online trusted services that I could get feedback. I thought about IMT??

Did your insurance cover the platelet rich plasma therapy? I looked into it and most insurance companies wont cover it. Obviously the V.A. wouldn't touch it. Many high level athletes such as Matt Forte, Troy Polamalu, Arod, Kobe Bryant, Tiger woods (to name a few )get this done, but I don't have their money. A single injection could cost around $800. You are lucky you are fortunate enough to be able to try that treatment. Let us know how it goes.

No. Insurance did not cover it. It cost some $$ for sure. I had to postpone some vacations, but it's not like I would've enjoyed it anyway. Dr said at least two or three treatments to get sustained results. Every 5 wks. He noted I should feel/see improvement approx 4 wks after injections. He does prolo and PRP at the same time that's why I had 50 injections. He is part of Regenexx, been doing it for long time. I practically interviewed the dr for hours before agreeing.

I'm hopeful. Beats cortisone shot, which he said he would not give me. He told me if I wanted cortisone that I would have to see a different dr. He wasn't rude, just said he felt cortisone would do lasting damage in my case, explained why he wouldn't do it.
