Testosterone Pellet - Suggestions

I have been on 100mg Test/Syp for about 6 months. Total T was initially 137, got up to about 400 and dr said that was good. I went to a urologist who said I need to get up to around 800 but would only prescribe gels or pellets. I went back to the original doc who now got bumped me to 200mg test/syp. I now have the 200mg pellets that just came in the mail. Any suggestions would be appreciated, not sure what to do. I don't mind the injections. Now doing 100mg 2x a week

All other blood work was good.

Why do u have pellets? The doc orders and implants them. That's how I get TRT. Not sure what your question is. If u have both pellets and injectable, great. But u only have means for delivering one of them into your body.

Strange that someone would only prescribe pellets. Keep in mind this is a "procedure" so they get to bill it that way, and its kind of expensive.

I find it odd so many doctors are straying from injections even though we info like this now:

Injected TRT earns high marks for safety, effectiveness | Urology Times

So I wonder why they would want to do only pellets, maybe money? :)

I have done both pellets and injections. I tried pellets first because I wasn't sure injections were for me. In retrospect that was a mistake. The pellets have to inserted under the skin and require you to take a week off of lifting, then it takes time for them to get your testosterone up so it took about a month for me to start feeling good, but after your levels get up they begin to decline until your next pelleting. So the pellets really fail when it comes to keeping your levels stable which was my biggest complaint. I much prefer injections twice a week that keep me at optimal levels and allow me to change dosage if side effects arise or if the treatment isn't having the desired effects. Not to mention injections are a hell of a lot cheaper. The insertion procedure can be costly, then you have to buy the pellets so for me pellets were not cost effective. I do think that this is a great option as far as hormone therapy for women as they require far fewer pellets making the procedure far easier and they do not need near as much test so their levels do not fluctuate quite as much. Although its weird that your doc would only do pellets or gels, I suspect its about money. A lot of places that do HRT don't want to take on the liability associated with it so they bring on a company like BioTe which handle the procedural aspect of the pelleting, advise how to treat, and assume the liability of the treatment.

Here is the problem with that, unless they make pellets with fluctuating amounts of Testosterone, Estradiol and Progesterone said female will end up with testosterone dominance. Or if they are estrogen pellets, estrogen dominance (they will essentially be PMS-ing all the time).

Women are not like men, they should not take just one hormone. When a female takes just one of their 3 primary sex hormones it will suppress the other 2, fixing one problem and creating another.

On top of that dosages should be adjusted rhythmically to attempt to mimic their own bio pattern.

Hope this makes sense.

Definitely makes sense. I know very little about the female HPGA so this is interesting information to me.

All my information regarding HRT in women is anecdotal as my girlfriend works at a med spa that does pellet treatments. From what I've seen they have had decent results, despite the complicated nature of a woman's hormones. However, it does make sense that these test pellets would cause testosterone dominance as some women experience androgenic side effects. If you have any further reading on this subject please let me know as I am interested in learning more, as well as help my girlfriend gain a better understanding of these hormone treatments.

I still don't understand this. They sent you (the patient) the pellets in the mail? That seems kind of odd... You think they would send it to a doctor.

Saves storage space; i.e. money. I smell cash shop with only profit in mind.

Pellets are for livestock, simple as that.
