Well, i wasn't gonna pull from the floor tonight as my knees are still tight, but I'll be damned if the weight wasn't flying up there. Elbows were a little tender when i got to pulldowns, but i made it through. Didn't do back last week so i took it easy after deads killed my ass.

Sorry guys. Missed a bunch of posts here as I have been super busy. Got promoted this week (I will transition into my new role 4/1), so I have been busy wrapping things up in this role and getting things prepped for the next role.

Lean... Typically, as I understand it, 7-10 days is a normal rest period before a meet. It takes your body a bunch of time to recover completely and ideally you are totally recovered when meet day comes. Who knows???

Missed by Monday DL session.... Went on Tuesday instead:
Off a 1.5" deficit 475/1, 545/1 (went easy)

Wednesday Bench (shirt work):
430/1 off 1 board
440/1 off 2 board
450/1 off 3 board

Today (Saturday) Squat Work:
430/3
455/3
275/20... this was killer

*Feeling good coming up to this meet. I really hope I hit the numbers I am looking for... Hoping to make a little bit of a name for myself at this meet.

You have to do a full Raw Power meet. I think you would make more of a name for yourself then you realize. Then you'll have to focus on being awesome like me.

Let's put it this way.. If you went in a novice raw division with those numbers, I'd be very surprised if you didn't place top 3 in a large event... You will just have to figure out commands, etc...

Well, i think everyone has had those days when y9ou walk in the gym and for whatever reason you know its gonna be a suck day. But something happens in the first few sets warming up and all of sudden a suck day becomes an awesome day.

Today was one of those days. You all know my whiny bitch ass knees were still killing me from the race, but i took a Naprox last night and woke up feeling better. Threw on my TK bands and went nuts. Did more worksets of squats than i normally do, but that was all i did. After all that squatting i got the fuckl outta there. lol

In the words of my boy Ice Cube "Today was a good day"

That last set was brutal. I haven't had 5 plates on my back in years, and it was s struggle to get it out of the hole, but i got it with a slight bump after all that other shit. My fucking head was upside right. lol

*I was still sore and tight from Squats, so I'm excited for things to come at this meet. I think 600 is not out of the question.

That's got to be pretty fukkin impressive - Plus i want to see the look on your face after u do it! hahahaha - and maybe the look on your gf's face too - kind of an "OMG - my bf's a beast!!" hahahahaha

Haha. I will make sure that I have some video of the lifts. You will get notice when the videos are up, ready, and edited. I hope to get some good lifts in and believe me, I will be super pumped about everything.

cool - I trained chest with a power lifter over the weekend. Sure was a wierd body position for this dude. and he did sets of 3. I whooped him though - maxed out at 275 for 6 reps.....(twice!)
I'll cut him a little slack cause he's only 27...

Go eat Milky- you're looking thin.....

Thats awesome lean... Powerlifting is fun but then when a bodybuilder is stronger than you, it's tough to swallow your pride... When my body is super beat up in ten years from now, I may get back into the looking pretty. For now, definitely interested in looking good but more interested in being strong.
 
This week is a total de-load for me. Hit some light squats Saturday and now I am just relaxing... It's very nice to not to be in the gym this week; gives me some time to spend on work and hanging with the lady.

We may do something like that tomorrow (Friday) night... No drinking, etc this last week, so that fits perfectly in the mix...

Thanks RJ. I hope that I can do something crazy at this meet. Either way it will be fun and a learning experience.
