Time for an old dude to step it up

Holy locomotive, Batman! This train.... all I can say is, "wow"

Pull up a chair boys n girls, old Duffer did a bad thing. And survived. Undamaged.

Pulling up a little history: for a month before this train left the station, my max bench (slight angle, on cable machine) was stuck at 250. The day I launched this journey, I barely broke thru at 255x3. Forward movement. I was happy. Then last week I decided to shake the tree by doing only my 1st set and then straight to max set. As seen just a few posts above I screwed up my bar height stops and did 260x8 short stroked. Went back after chewing myself out and did them again correctly for another 260x6. Workout partner was not there that day.

Today...did my warn up cardio and cable tris while waiting for her to get off the cables. I set up and then discussed the last couple weeks with her. "Do I run thru the 5x5s as normal or do I again jump to last set after 1st set (last is now increased to 270#) she looks over the numbers and responds ,"add more weight". Damn. I responded after whining, "I'll feel out the 270 and then decide"

160x6, straight to 270x6. Not too bad. Keep in mind this is 20#s above my plateau and an absolute record for me. She says, "see.... add more weight!"

Fine! I bumped it up to 300#s and told her I would do negatives but she would have to help me get it up and that would require her to straddle me on the bench. ;-) I get under, get set, look for her ..... and she is standing off just watching. Egging me on. So I hit it with all I had and ..... 300x5 !!!! And clean. Smooth. I catch my breath, get a drink. She challenges, "add MORE weight!" I swap some dbs around. She asks, "how much is that?". "320#s and that WILL require your help"

I climb under. Set myself. Look for her.... and she is standing even further away. Just watching. Waiting. Fine. I get pissed. Slam my back into the bench a couple times and hit it. Hard. And it goes up. Slowly. Breathe, check my posture, and do three grueling, slow, clean, vein-popping reps!!!!!!

THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY POUNDS FOR 3 CLEAN REPS :-O

9 days on the train and my bench went up 70 pounds!

Yup. Disclaimers. This is with training wheels. On cables. Apples n oranges. Everyone understand, because I do. It's not the weight in absolutes. It's the gain. Meaningless to some of you big boys, I know, but insane for this old, busted up pos body! :)

Also, no I won't be doing it again for a while. Good way to get hurt. My body is in no way ready for that kind of increase. ....but damn it's hard to say no when a pretty young thing says, "add more weight" excitedly! Lucky for me I stopped the daily tadalafil! !!!! Lol!

Weight today 224. Cals 2600.

I'm not fooled Duffer, you was just aching for a spot from your partner. The other guys maybe you fooled but not this old codger!

Crazy weekend with no gym time and reflected in my cals. Spent one whole day prepping for the storm that wasn't and then wifee hurt herself. That ended up putting me as sub for her commitments on Sunday and then she finally decides to head to the hospital Monday morn. Nothing life threatening, but she'll be hurting for a while.

I got 4 days in last week and 2 so far this week. The session after my awesome bench day was horrible! Man, I was just spent as soon as I walked in.
Yesterday was a good leg day and another PR, 335x5 cable squat. (See update at bottom, Car )

Today biceps was again strong! PR on standing db curls: 30sx5, 35x5, 40x5, 45x5 and 55s for 4! Up until today I had to do these last 2 sets preacher or seated. I then pyramid back down. Good burn.
Cable lat down: 200x5, 230x5, 265x5, 300x5, 330x5 (barely) , also a record for me :)

The train screwed with my sleep yesterday, but all weekend was smooth. Sweats, check. Horny as a 16 year old monk, check. Emotional condition can best be described as amorous. To the point wifee got suspicious lol! Interesting that I only had the short fuse a couple days in. As I'm tapering out the tren-a, fuse is getting infinitely longer.

Last blast, Test n EQ, made me belligerent and I didn't really even notice it.

Today was my triceps day. Skipped cardio due to time wasted touring and learning the new layout plus feeling out the weights for these new exercises.
Did db skulls as usual.
Did three 12s on pec deck. Weights were completely different but boy did I burn up my pecs. Very effective

Did flat bench 1st thing. Been a while since I've used this stuff so took me a bit to get the rack adjusted and feel my way thru some weights. Did the 5x5s. Started at 135, 155. Embarrassingly unstable and wobbly. Verifies how the cable bench is 'training wheels' for stability. Did 185 & 205. Geez... I need a calculator for this! Haha. Partner came over and I said, "good. You can spot me" yeah, right... got 225x5 and decided that's enough for my 1st time here.

Not used to the people. It's almost midnight and there's people. Mostly in the free weight area! Hardly any fans. No pencils. Benches with rips. No music. One muted tv. Wahhh. ;-) but the right equipment for my needs. I'll miss having a gym all to ourselves tho

Weekend travels. Cals kept lower cuz I'm not going to get much gym time in but plan is to hit the local one here at least once.

Bit of relax time, some hiking. Purpose is to put some venison in my freezer! :)

Also of note: beginners, like myself, while researching will read that these compounds can have wildly differing psychological effects..... believe it. I have yet to read of someone (willing to admit it anyway) who has posted their Tren side as being hugely positive on emotional/mental attitude. I can't say what exactly is causing this effect (some combo of the dosages and it's effects on blood levels) but it can be best described as the opposite of 'roid rage'. Wifee is swooning. We had a really good, honest convo during this 8 hour drive. Summary: my Test/EQ blast turned me into an asshole. This Test/Tren has the opposite effect. Anti-asshole meds! If it was up to her, I'd never go off!!! I've turned into the perfect husband. Granted artificially, but none the less.

Very interesting indeed.
 
quick update: local fitness center has a dealio with the hotel we are at.... Free pass! Old but functional gear. Good leg day! Did that leg press, whatever it's called, where your feet are upward and head down, like some kind of sci-fi rocket ship: for 1 plate, two plates, 3 plates, 4 plates and five plates! 5 plates per side was one Hell of a push. Never used a press quite like that one. I'll hafta look it up.

No deers have died yet.... Except for the one I hit with wifee's car. :-(

Lucky for me this train has taken me to anti-asshole-ville! ;-)
 
Hit local gym again. Biceps. Did good. Feeling strong. Did a bunch of standing barbell curls and man shiz was popping out of my shoulders n biceps!

Legs are really sore from yesterday

Wifee car damage minimal but trip to insurance when we return anyway

Speaking of damage (and good thing she doesn't read this) I did some damage to her last night! Sweat was pouring off my face as I 'pushed' her to her 4th big O. Unfortunately the train had other plans for me so no happy ending there. Still, good times. Nice to know I still got it when I need it :)
 
Caber-ing .25mg twice a week, plus Anastrazole.25mg 6 days a week

No other symptoms. Should I increase the caber?

I had Proviron plans but didn't happen. Btw, added the daily Tadalafil back in before this weekend..... Cuz I thought it would be needed. ;-)

Updates: triceps day. Feeling kinda weak today due to crappy sleep. Nothing I could do about it except follow thru. Will sleep hard today! Hot flashes pretty regular now, even just sitting at my desk.

Busy friggin week. Finally had to go to docs and request my last kidney follow-up info. Even tho I stopped all creatine supps 4 two weeks, my creatinine was exactly the same and the BUN actually went up to 28 (range 7-23). Doc is not concerned.

Finally slept hard yesterday after a couple nearly sleepless ones. Only got 3 gym trips in. Triceps day I felt weak n tired. Biceps day felt tired and a bit nausea. Yesterday legs. Still tired, sweating like a whore in church and winded easily but got er done anyway! Last set of squats thought I was gonna heave.

Got tooth fixed without a crown, so that's nice on my wallet. Still gotta fix wifee car. Stupid deer! Let's get to the vitals:

Think I'm starting to understand the edge that the train gives. Every weekend is a sexual marathon! Just a few more minutes, honey... just. A. Few. More. .... Lol! And have I mentioned sweating? Phew!

I decided to change things up today. Biceps. Did lower weights, high reps. Really burned down and pumped up.

Tren does affect training time between sets..especially squats, lunges, and chest supported rows, or even dumbell rows aka chainsaws

Good last couple workouts. Back at what I've decided to call, the 'cable gym' this week. Verses the 'free weights gym'. It's a time thing.

Triceps day mixed in some low weight / high rep stuff again. Right tri got so pumped that if I hyper extended my elbow the muscle would cramp. Bad. Yeowch! Partner pushed me to jump my 5x5s after just a couple sets and try that crazy 320# angled bench press again. I was being a whining baby about how last week's sessions sucked and my strength seemed to be falling, mostly blamed on damaged cardio. She pushed me. She needled me. She called me out and pissed me off! Think I did 320x3 last time? This time barely got it up but then banged out 320x5. :-o. Felt that!

Then last night leg day. Cable gym again. Rough but did last set squats 380x6. New max.

Sleeping better these last couple with some assistance. Not great, but better. Sweating just about constantly. No noticeable diff from anastrazole and caber adjustments. Tempted to keep lowering them. Need bloods. Soon.

Weight 222.5 , so holding still as planned.
Couple of 2860 ish calorie days
Proteins 30% ish for those days too. Nice.
