I love an empty gym!

Good triceps day. Pushed myself some on flat bench press (on the cables) 300x5, but then could not get 320 all the way up. Failure to initiate. It's ok tho. Pushed to total failure. Cable tri's to 165x6. DB skulls to 100x5, 100x6. Some cardio n some cable pecs.

Now home and protein! (And maybe cherry pie with half n half)

Weight interestingly (stubbornly ) 222.5 considering...

Ave cals 2630

Recently tried dumbell skulls..lying on bench ass down.. dumbell in each hand( maybe 30 or 35#)
Bring each dumbell down with elbow up until it touches the shoulder then back up till arm is straight ... nice tricep pump!
 
Seen n tried those! I need to try them again as this '2 hands on one db' skull I'm sure favors my right side. Better grip for some reason with right hand. ;-) wonder why....
 
The head gets in the way with a single dumbell....or you extend out past the head and reduce your rom. Typical skull crushers aesthetics done with a short barbell or excurl bar.....and are notoriously hard on the elbows
 
Good leg day! Got good sleep and liking the deca much more than the tren (thus far) some hot flashes but no night sweats so far. Much better sleep, especially if I wear my cpap. My knees are already very happy. Still 'hyper-Casanova ' effect. Wifee loving that since she is down with knee surgery recovery. Which is going well, btw.

Worked holiday. Good money. Nice thanksgiving evening with wifee. Couple of out to dinner nights which didn't help my diet numbers but not bad. Wifee has cabin fever already! Hit our favorite tattoo joint on black Friday after many, many years. Now nursing some holes. Yeowch!

Acting 18 y.o. again. When will it stop ?!? Lol! Better living thru chemistry!

Deca makes my old joints happy. It takes a while to feel the effects due to the ultra long ester. But it feels less harsh than tren for sure.....at least for me. It does aromatize however where tren doesn't so you may need to adjust your AI in the coming weeks
 
Props to Carverelli and others for giving me a needed kick in da azz as i've continued this journey.

Life has (as expected) gotten busy. I'm still hitting the gym. I'm still logging my diet. But I've slipped into cruise-control recently. The tren cycle really took it out of me. Time again to reassess. C.V. asked me the most obvious but ignored question. "What are my goals?" Simple question. Not a simple answer. Anyone can shout, "I wanna get huge!" But it's a deeper question than that.

I'm already beyond where I expected to be able to get. I can appreciate the road traveled. But now it's time to look forward and focus on the future. Time to stop chasing the chart, as I call it. That's trying to keep up with the calculated 5x5 program regardless of form.

Time to assess my body weaknesses and beat the crap out of those muscles. Time to slow down, lower the weights, focus again on form and muscle contraction. Leave the gym SORE, knowing you really worked target muscles and not just puffing chest n ego for moving some huge weight poorly.

...... and THAT'S WHY I'm a member of this forum!

With that said, an update:

Triceps day. Slower and more focused.
Started with db bench. Was able to get a pair of 80#s up by myself for the 1st time ever. Worked my way backwards, slow and deep. Really feeling each rep
Tried some laying db skulls (not with the single db. Not pullover style) I got 3 sets in but tough on the elbows.
Then went to standing tris with pair dbs. 4 sets there.
Finally a couple sets of cable downs, but I was shot by then. Tri's are burnt up! Feels nice

I'm hoping a rededicated direction will yield the results your after. I've chased bigger numbers as well because they're quantitative. It's progress we can easily see. Whereas more muscle or better tone and /or cuts are not.
I realize age is just a number, but getting older has aged my joints and chasing numbers will hurt me faster than trying to look better.

Digesting still future workout changes. I'm probably gonna leave my leg day as is tho as I like my leg progress :) already happy with the impact tweaks had on chest as it was sore for 3 days! Good times

Today I rest. Must have tweaked my shoulder just a bit. Busy life day so good timing (if an injury can be well timed)

Yesterday decent biceps day. Very good weight day :)
Was able to do standing db curls up to 50s x 5. Then 55s n 60s preacher.

Weight 220 after 2830 cals! I LOVE telling that to my thin, female workout partner lol!

Reworked my 5x5 charts. Backed some weights down so I can focus more and hold contraction longer. Changed some exercises also. Gonna try to follow the '3 on, 1 mostly off' article recently bumped here. Changing things up.

Ya all know how much I love science n Half-Life calculators so here is a pic that shows where I'm at on this blast... note when I dropped the tren and added the deca. Also note the increase of test from 200mg to 500mg. Still climbing the hill but getting closer to peak. If I shut the whole thing down at 14 weeks, I will barely make peak. We'll see. May extend if BW stays good.

And some added notes: 1st night sweat since dropping tren yesterday. Proviron added last week. Libido still good but trigger pull still bad. Really no change there. Was bad on tren with low caber. Was bad after doubled caber. Was bad with deca and no caber. Is bad with deca and proviron. Time for more bloodwork! .... or just ride it out! (Pun intended ) :)

Noting that my latest printing of my 5x5 charts are starting 'week 52' !!! Been doing these for a while now

Starting the 3 weeks on, 1 week lite trial. Will see if the gains come again. So last week I skipped a day completely n counted that as my tricep day.
Today was light legs. 20 elliptical, 10 stair climber, 100 hanging leg lifts. that's a record right there for me. On the tren, I'd have blown a gasket for sure! Bunch of calf raises and some light seated leg extensions. Got a good sweat and some leg feel.

It's hard not to hit weights when I'm there!

Back at it today. Normal 5x5 leg day. Good. Strong. But heart pumping hard. Winded fairly easy.
Slightly tweaked my protocol. Upped my test to 600/wk, deca about the same.

Sorry for the break. Holiday. Horrible cold. 4 funerals. 3 weddings. Phew!

Status updates then:

I've implemented a 4 week 'intensity variability' to my 5X5s. Started with slacker week, then my normal 5X5, then high reps week, super heavy week, another slacker week and I'm now on my 5X5 week. Slacker week has been extra cardio and accessory exercises only. For the hi rep week, I do just the lightest of each 5X5 over and over (15 reps max) until I'm toast (or 5 sets). Super heavy week is no cardio at all, couple light sets and straight to heaviest on the 5x5 or heavier if I feel up to it.

Yes, I'm still in the 'cable gym'. It's just too convenient. Some numbers of note: preacher curl 55# dbs for 5 (barely). Slight angle cable bench press 300x4. Just today cable squats 415x5 (not very deep tho) that maxes the cable machine! Today chainsaws (bent rows) 100x8, 100x8, 100x8, 100x9, 100x10.

I ended my latest blast last week. Still waiting for Lab results. Time to cruise a while.

Other notes: the deca issue continued. Libido good, hard to pull the trigger tho. Just started the night sweats before I dropped it. Caber made no diff. Proviron made no diff.
Get this tho. One week after stopping all test and deca, (letting blood levels free fall for 2 weeks) but still doing anastrazole at 1.75/wk. (Tapering down anast now) carried chub nearly all day and once wifee gave the go-ahead was able to unload the pistol rather quickly. I'm back, baby! Lol! One data point is not a trend, but I can hope :)

Meant to mention that as the fat layer melts from my chest, my heat rash acne is lessening. Kinda what I figured. It not the compounds as much as the intense sweating

Lastly, the 'Romeo effect' with the infinite patience that I got from the Tren (that wifee loves so much) continued with the deca but maybe a bit less so. We will see if I can keep it going at trt levels.

Glucose 57 low (65-99) non-fasting. Thought this was interesting as its usually borderline too high

Creatinine 1.69 high (0.76-1.27)
eGFR 45 low (>59)

Test, total, lc/ms 2701
Prolactin 9.4 (4.0-15.2) I quit the caber when I upped the anastrazole. No physical symptoms.
Estradiol, sensitive 41.0 (8.0-35.0) and still 1.74/wk is not enough anastrazole? There's my deca-dick!

All this info tells the tale and I would just be guessing without this bloodwork!
 
From the vids I've seen its pretty apparent you've outgrown your work gym, but hey, it's better than not going at all. The dumbells sitting on the weight stack is borderline dangerous. Too much weight modified preacher curl, be careful you don't pull a muscle. Glad you like the deca. It's almost mandatory for us old guys.
Kudos for getting labs done. It's something one needs to keep on top of. Why is the last time you had psa checked? I've heard a lot of older dudes get prostate cancer before they die, yet only a small percentage die from it. So early detection is the answer.
