Training by DC (Doggcrapp)

DADAWG, I hear you and that is exactly what I did, but as I have said before, since this program is not the norm, it will not work, so its like you need to defend something that does work, I know because I have used it, I am not saying its the only program to use, cause it is not, but it works good, but not for everyone...

sounds perfect for the person who thinks hes tried everything else

I'm giving it a try!!!!

If you guys are interested, first read through the cycle for pennies thread. If you agree with what DC has to say, then maybe this is for you.

I did my first DC workout yesterday (chest/delts/tri/back width/back thickness) and it was brutal. This method will take every bit of energy out of you. It's tough, but well worth it.

Same here Easto! I'm waiting for him to get back to me as I want to sign on with him. Did legs today with some of his methods. Went for a 20 rep squat to see where I was. HUMBLING to say the least!! Almost fainted...then almost puked. Then after a good rest I hit the sled for the 40 rep death set. OMFG!!!!! I did it, just barely! I then proceeded to get up, walk two steps, and fall on my face. Couple of my friends who I hang with at the gym came rushing over thinking I was dying or something. Embarrassing, but worth it. Did SLDL's with slow negatives and RP as well, again, humbling. Hate working with the lower weights, but I haven't felt this much of a burn in months. I'll be lucky if I can walk tomorrow.

DC, if you read this, you're the man bro! This training is exactly what I needed to jump the plateau and get myself motivated again!! 300lbs here I come!

Thanks bro. I was reading more and realized I should have only done one of the main quad exercises. Ooops. Still gave me an idea of where I was at weight wise. Sucks to have to take plates off, but the way my legs feel just sitting here I know it was worth it. Hopefully I'll here back from DC soon.

DC is a great writer. I have been following a similar type program (which is an adaptation of Mentzer/Static Contraction) that has brought me insane results. I am now at the point where adding mass ins't a problem at all anymore.

I got a question regarding growth phase.. Yes I understand you get twice as much growth phases per body part a week then the conventional lift once a week style, but how big of a growth phase makes a different? meaning if I tear up my muscle a little doing the DC style compared to tearing up the muscle a lot more doing the volume method will make a difference?

Why do you think that high volume will "tear up" the muscle more than doing RP worksets?.

No offense but I think you really should not do DC's program until you have tried many others, this is not an easy program and it is not for everyone especially beginners...

TRicKtOutT,

You need to read Cycle For Pennies. If you believe in DC principles, then you should give the program a shot. If not, there are other ways to workout.

I remember Dante tellging everyont to read CFP before they contacted him. If you don't believe in his system, then there is no reason to try it.

I had faith, so I gave it a shot and I love it. It's a whole new look on BBing. The workouts are totally different than anything I have ever done and that keeps me motivated. You have 6 different workouts, so your rotations never get boring.

i don't follow dc's training though i do see the logic. i myself do each bodypart 2x a wk and can do it more intense then 1x a wk and still get enough rest time. and it has definitely benefitted me more both for strength and size than the traditional method.

I believe in his program and im using it right now, it was just a question of curiosity that someone asked me when I told him about this program, thats all

just one question:
is dc training set up as a maximum hypertrphy program or stregth one? So can it be used for sports as well where I need a lot of relative stregth or even wnat to increase it?

thanks and greetz

Both, stength and size and yes it will be fine for sports, just not all the cardio that goes along with most sports, you will limit gains...
