TRT & Moon Face-Looking for ideas

I've been on TRT for several years now (150MG weekly) and always checking my bloodwork. Everything seems to always be in check. Total test hovers around the 400 range a few days after injection with free test at the upper level. So I've been a bit confused why there has been some ED issues. It sure doesn't help when the wife insists on 4am for our husband/wife time (kids) but before TRT it didn't seem to be an issue. I finally broke down and purchased some liquid CIA from *** ******** and it has made a world of difference. Now I need to address my moon face. Not sure which way to turn about this. My RBC is 6.3 which is high, my Estradoil is 31.6 on a scale 7.6 - 42.6. I have even had tests done to rule out Cushings Disease. Anyone have any ideas on reducing moon face?

How is your water intake? sodium intake, diet?

Most of time its due to water absorption. Even being slightly dehydrated can make you retain in the facial area. Cortisol was in check?

need more history-

Have changed around diet in every way, not a lot of salt, cortisol was high when tested the first time at local doc then found doctor that specializes in Cushings at the Cleveland Clinic, they did MRI of pituitary and did some extensive tests and came up negative for cushings. Their advice was to come off TRT completely and see if that helps. I do not like that idea.

Level 400 sounds relative low, so testosterone cant work on your face shaping.
You should try to use more T. I would think.

Any other prescriptions?

A TT of 400 seems pretty low. What was your free T? What ranges did the results have?

What labs do they run?

Has the ED always been with to the moon face?

Can you time anything else with the ED? Or moon face?

Age, height, weight also?

The total test was low because I took it from 150MG per week to 100 thinking that it may help moon face. Did that for several months. I also switched from twice a week shots to just once a week just to be different. I'm back on 150 again. I have a chart from the endo visits that shows me going from 178 lbs when first started TRT to 233 lbs in 6 months (6 ' tall & 49 years old) Diet never changed. Face is so swelled it looks unnatural. Doctor seems unconcerned that is has anything to do with TRT and says I need to watch what I eat. Yes, the ED happened about the same time as weight gain. I felt wonderful for the first month or so after starting TRT but it went downhill. Only other prescription I take is Prilosec. Free test was 17.8 on a scale of 4.2 - 16.4

Damn that's some weight gain!!!

I went up 18 lbs in about 4 months but I was under eating and very skinny. Im basically the same weight I run without seizure meds. Glycogen and water can explain my gain. Ive held the 164-166 lbs for a month or so.

I googled "prilosec water retention" and scanning the results it's possible. I didn't even follow a single link but it's there and all over from drug side effect pages to forums and articles.

Libido good? Morning wood? Orgasm quality?

Have you mentioned estrogen anywhere? You are talking about ED and bloating, two prime concerns from estrogen levels being high. Can you post up any bloodwork that shows E2 levels?

And about prilosec, you really don't want to be taking that or anything like it. You probably feel like you'd die if you didn't take it, but I can assure you that you'll be better off if you figure out how to boost your stomach acid to clear the contents faster. Lowering acid masks your real problems and will make you much worse over time.

Do you use an AI? 400 total test is kinda low if on replacement. Maybe lower that estrogen just a touch and raise the test a little bit? Might be worth a try anyway. Back up to 150mg and use an AI?
Sorry bro....thats all I got. Cialis and Viagra work great if you alternate between them. Good luck

Harorider posted this in his first post of this thread .. Not sure which way to turn about this. My RBC is 6.3 which is high, my Estradoil is 31.6 on a scale 7.6 - 42.6.

Was that an ultra sensitive estradiol Test ? If not, you might actually be higher, which could be your ED issue. You have a lot of weight gain and if your diet is the same, something is definitely off.

Post your complete labs. Are you taking an AI? I agree with everyone else***8217;s comments, 400 seems pretty low to me.

Just regular, not a ultra sensitive estradiol Test. Attached .PDF of lab work.....let me know if it doesn't open.

My BP is always high. I donate blood every 60 days or it gets out of control. Moon face and very red head like I've been in the sun. Also, the weight gain in stomach is behind muscle. Stomach is like a turtle shell, hard as a rock and reminds me of HGH gut. Distended stomach. I spent a lot of money traveling to the Cleveland Clinic a couple times(several hundred miles away) to test for Cushings Syndrome but they say I tested negative. I did start taking liquid Prami at .25 everyday. Started it a week ago. No results yet.

What do your liver counts look like? My Dad and Mom both have liver issues and ended up with beer guts but we're actually hard. Liver increased on size.

How are your shits? Once a day at least? Firm enough to form a log but not hard? My mom has had several digestive issues and her stomach will swell and be hard as a rock. Colon camcer at 29!! Im 36 and have had 2 colonoscopies and due for another.

Swollen hard stomach isn't a good sign.

Copy - paste those labs for us!!!
