hey guys....how annoying is it when people dnt put weights back....well for me it fucking is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yesterday i go to gym to workout chest i do some incline barbell then move on to flat db press....so i spot a free bench move it say a foot from were it was grab some 32kg db and start my exersice...i got to failure go to place the db's down (im at failure so they are goin down to the groun pretty much while im lyin down) next minute POP some one left a db under then bench and when i moved the bench the db was perfectly under my hand when i place my db down well it resulted in breaking my finger from my tip to my 1st knuckle in 3 places, removing my whole nail spliting my finger in 4 places to the bone, pushing a peice of bone through my nail bed and 50min in surgery to save my finger.....i have wire ect now to help it heal...so to all the ppl who jus dnt care think bout cleaning up ur weights

Besides the obvious safety elements. For me its just annoying having to run around and look for plates or dumbbells of the weight im after.

Most of the time my gym is a absolute state! Plates, dumbbells, bars everywhere. I always make sure to put back or rack up what iv been using when i leave. Its just good manners.

damn man, sory to hear bout your injury. i'm right with you and people needing to put shit away. i lift at the student gym while im at school and we always got newer/younger guys leaving weights out and bar loaded and it pisses me off. if you see the guys leaving shit out, then go up to them and be polite/intimidating and tell them it would be in their best interest to put the weights up.

Gym etiquette is one of my pet peeves. Yes please re-rack your weights and please dont jump on 3 machines at the same time when the gym is packed.

We have one clown that drops his weights from the waist after every set. Its so fucking annoying. He does dead lifts with 225 then when hes finished with his set he drops it from the waist. I pray for the bar to bounce up and hit his fucking shins every time.

Ha! I think every gym has one of these. One guy in my gym does it too... So annoying! Its called a Deadlift for a reason!

i hate cleaning up after the little pricks. i do this so dont bust my ankle again tripping over the weights.

Yea, last week this dipshit had 3-4 pair of dumbells laying on the floor, around the bench he was using. Mind u the gym was busy as hell being spring/rush hour . . I guess this guy didnt want people using the weights he needed. . I was chit chating w a buddy . . biting my tongue, cause this fuckstick had a pair that I needed. . ofcourse he looked like a total fag when he was lifting. . The novis (30 day a year) members have been pissing my buddy off, so before i could say anything, he says "hey stupid, u mind if somebody else get a workout in??!!" lol he then he says "i dont want to break my damn ankle either!, rack your shit so somebody else can use the dumbells. How hard is it to rack them, when the rack is inches from of you??!!"

MAN!!! thats a brutal story, sorry to hear about your hand!

I thought it was bad that I always had to unload the leg press machine of the 25kg plates for the elderly gals that work out at my gym around the same time I do.

Hope you make a fast recovery.

lol now other then the loud weak guy that drops the weights from his waist.. how about under armour man.. all decked out in nothing but matching under armour

Every gym has these jerks, my gym has more than most...the owner of my gym is the biggest problem.

Always sucks if the guy in charge is a putz.

Dang man, sorry about your finger. I always check under the benches when I go to grab one. And I always re-rack, which my old lifting partner didnt get. It pissed me off he was lazy, and when he reracked he would put them wherever...not in the proper places.

:madflip: :chainsaw:

I dont lift with him anymore, he's a spaz.

It's like clock work every morning at 5 am for me. I've gotten to where I just look at it like I'm burning extra cals between sets re racking. Now I'm not talking dumbells out of plain to see numbered order on the rack. These jerks leave them everywhere from one end to the other in our free weight room to the tune of 2/3 rds the rack. Me & one other just split sides & generally in an hour have it back it order. I thought about stopping by in the evening to watch these jerkwads in action but that will not change a thing & would probably make things worse. Having said that I pity the majority of Mexicans wives.

I can deal with them not put away, what pisses me off is when they put the dumbbells in the wrong spot like 20s where the 30s go along those lines. Their usually labeled too..

This is hands down the worst thing about my gym. Inconsiderate bastards can't even put a weight back.
Even with the problem, the staff are a bunch of lazy fools too. They get paid, so IMO they should do a sweep every hour and put everything back that's been left on the floor rather than just sitting at the desk the whole time.
