I've done a bit of research on steroids and have decided they're not for me. I'm going to try Insuliin though, since it's legal. I'm sticking to Humalin-R since it doesn't require a prescription. I know all about what size needles to use, where to inject, how to inject, etc. I've been doing alot of research on this and want to do it right. I've been warned of the dangers of carelessness while using this product. I have a buddy that will be training with me 3 months from now when I start (this is when we get out of basic training and go to a-school together. we both have intelligence specialist source rates and SEAL Challenge contracts, so we'll be together for most of our next 2 years) my a-school training. We've both decided we're going to start weight training again during a-school (we have stopped to focus on swimming/running/calistetics). During this time, I'll be taking Insulin shots after training. I'll be carrying a bottle of gatorade with me throughout the rest of the day after training as well as glucose tablets. He will be monitoring me (he benches 320lbs naturally, and is still flexible enough to swim 5 miles, so he doesn't need to put on major mass) while I make it through the next 4 hours after my injection. With all this said, I'm making sure I do everything in my power to do this right. I'd like to know where (it's over the counter, so I'd assume Eckerds or a grocery store with a pharmacy would work just fine) I can purchase Humalin-R, and what the going rate is.
Sorry to bore everyone with the long pitch line before asking my question, just wanted to try and detere any 'you don't know what your getting yourself into' replies. If you'r thinking about replying with a comment like this, please don't. I've done (And am still doing) my research and I'm pretty set on it, so it won't get throug my thick head. Just asking for a bit of help.

If you don't mind paying a bit more you can get it from the following web site: http://www.carecenter.com/ , they are in Michigan.

Their price is $27.89 plus shipping which I believe is UPS priority so it isn't exposed to high tempature for any lenght of time.

I'm not going to try to convince you not to do slin but remember the whole reason you're doing it is to increase recovery and gain size. You mentioned gatorade and glucose tabs, which is great but don't forget to eat a shitload of carbs and prot too.

oh i know that for sure. keep the fat down and the carb and protein levels WAY THE F*CK UP! I'm most likely going to be going with a meal replacement for my post meals. At A-school you don't have a kitchen, you eat at the cafeteria. Since I can't measure the intake of the stuff at the cafeteria, I'll have a meal replacement for the next 2-3 meals I have. I'm thinking I'll most likely being going with Nature's Best Isopure from dps nutrition. It's got decent levels of everything, and it has no fat, and it's priced well at about 1.50 per serving. It's hard to find meal replacements/weight gainers worth taking for less than $2 a serving. Isopure has;

Calories 300
Calories from Fat 0
Total Carbohydrate 25g
Protein 50g

I'll be taking this with a bottle of gatorade (I like the powder stuff you can mix yourself, since it allows you to drink stronger amounts) at 28g of carbs since I mix twice the instructional amount. I'll have one bottle of gatorade during workout and one immediately after shot, followed by the Isopure (im talking chugging one after the other, I've become a professional at this with AST's micronized creatine hsc, gl3 glutamine, and vp2 whey protein isolate). I'll most likely be taking Ergopharm 1-AD for an 8 week cycle (any opinions on this? is it worth the money? or total crap?) while taking Insulin for 4 days (possibly 5, im trying to work my 5-day workout into 4 days, so i dont have to do this) out of the week, for 3 week periods. After 3 weeks of insulin, I'll go either 1 or 2 weeks without (id like opinions on which would be better).

You sound like you know what you're doing, out of interest how much are you going to inject post workout?

Id only suggest start low the first couple of times and work up so you can see how it affects you.

About the meal replacement powders, they are OK, but you can make the equivalent much cheaper by buying maltodextrin powder and whey seperately and mixing them your self.

thanks for the compliment. I'm going to start off at about 2 I.U. to make sure my body doesn't have any funny reactions. I'll move up 1 I.U. every other injection day until I hit 10 I.U., then stay there. I might stay at about 8 I.U. since I'm a small guy (I'm 160lbs, I'm ectomorphic unfortunately, as compared to most of the guys on here being endomorphic) and probably don't need 10 I.U. As far as cheaper sources of nutrients, I considered it for a while. I'm not overly worried about it after much thought. Since I won't be driving for the next 6 months, I'm saving $320 a month from insurance (I'm 19 with a sports car and 18 points, and yes I pay for my own car ;) payments. So I'm going for convenience. I'll be living off my AST shaker bottle after boot camp, for about a year.
