What is the worst advice you've gotten/heard someone get regarding bodybuilding?

I was lead to believe that deca only cycles were the best because it wasn't a testosterone and it wouldn't effect your own natural production (made perfect sense being 21). 12 weeks of deca @ 500mg and my dick was as soft as the pillsbury doughboy, not to mention a lil gyno to boot

I tried the advise in this video here. Am surprised it got so many thumbs up. It fucked up my neck and I couldn't lift for three weeks. He calls it expert advise but I beg to differ. I should have known by his age and the size of his shoulders he isn't an expert.

Could you imagine!! Fuck me. That makes a calf shot sound like a pleasantry, which I can assure is not.

Lol, yeah - I'm dedicated and all too - but shots to the nuts? Nuuuuuu thanks!

Dudes without a doubt, this protocol is where I hang up the hat and quit if it comes down to this being the only option avail..

Hell to the no,hell to the no no no!

I do BB military. Seated though. Never standing...thats a recipe for all kinds of injuries!

I only do seated with smith (assisted).. other then that I refuse to touch the BB..It's a warm up for me.. I just dont have the mobility, genetics suck!

My little brother is the same way,and my father. :(

I also do them on the smith machine. I like behind the neck press on the smith. I find out of all the shoulder presses that exercises targets them the best.

" Body builders are simpletons---"-----

Almost every partner I ever had, training wise knew more about basic pharmacology, diet, training and the discipline needed to succeed by either competing or making gain s usually reflected itself in that they were successful contributing positive members of society, just bigger or leaner...definitely more informed...about life in general.

cmon seriously you think this is bad advice??? Overhead press is popular exercise I have done it in past like in video and no problems at all.

I overheard a knucklehead tell a buddy of his at the gym, " Yeah I buy the cheapest steroids i can get my hand on and load up." This guy in now in the hospital after suffering from a stroke.

This hits home.. I just had a convo yesterday with someone who knows a dude that knows an other dude who used a dom source, and unfortunate for him,he paid the piper for 25$ vials, cheaper means shoot more? I just heard he is in the hosp, thats all I know. He's like 48ish from what I heard. the heck?

Yeah overhead press is still an excellent exercise. Video looks fine actually if you listen to it the guy does say he's using an 'exaggerated' neck movement just to show you what he means. Not what to do.

Bad advice though: training abs everyday cause they recover faster is a classic. Or training abs only to lose your stomache fat is very common.

I will strictly stick to lifting advice because if I go into bad gear advice, I will write a few 5 paragraphs essays. I have made many threads on this topic. Anyways..

"When you bulk, you can eat ANYTHING. Just lift as heavy as you can, lots and lots of 3 rep maxes at the end of each lift". Well I listened and made a lot of fat gains. Back when I was 18

"Super-setting squats with deadlifts is the ultimate way to shred" My back hated me for a week. Good thing I did not get any permanent injuries. Also when I was 18

"Never stick to the same routine for more than a week or you will plateau" That one was so stupid that I was not one of the idiots to listen to this.

"You won't grow unless you super set every single lift" Never listened to this one either

"Sitting 15 min in the sauna or steam room after your workouts will burn 2-3 pounds of fat" Laughed when I heard someone in the sauna say this.

Side note: I only get into the sauna because I have very oily skin and always have dealt with acne. Scrubbing my body with soap after a 10 min sauna session so far has been the best method to counter this.
