Which Endo to Pick....limited options

one way step

Okay so I live in a rural area and only have two endocrinologists within a 100 mile radius. I have been seeing one for years and, while he gives very good medical exams, I feel sometimes I get shortchanged on an endo standpoint. At this point he never has me getting bloodwork. He is, however, very accommodating and if I tell him that something is benefiting me (hcg, AI, cialis) he will prescribe it for me. If there was a problem with my TRT (water retention, atrophy, etc) he would be able to address it. This guy has had me on a bunch of crazy routines (2500iu HCG 3x per week, 500mg test per week, etc) which has been frustrating as they have caused problems.

The other endo is a guy I just started seeing recently. He does blood work during most visits (upon my request) but is not as thorough with his medical exams. I also don't think he would be on board with ideas such as HCG, etc.

Which one sounds like the best one to stick with? They are in opposite directions so I can't do both, and I will be making my appointments for every 3 months and then getting scripts for 3 month supplies.

It should be noted that both of them are virtually useless; all my problems with determining a proper TRT dose haven't been helped at all by either of them. But these are my only options unfortunately.

Why won't the guy you've been seeing order blood work? That is a pretty fundamental part of practicing medicine. If he's accommodating with scripts, why won't he just write you the blood work script too? This makes no sense. If you can't convince him you could always do private md blood work and ask him to look at it.

He just keeps telling me that he doesn't think looking at bloodwork is necessary at this point. I've been seeing him since 2002 and at this point he is determined that my numbers are generally nothing to worry about or look at.
