I was considering getting Mass Gainer, they sell it at my gym, 700 calories per shake. Just wanna get the extra calories to help put on the size/mass. I've seen a few people say your nutritioin needs to be perfect though, are all those extra calories such a good idea?

Most gainer shakes are good complex carbs and a ton of protein. 700 is a little on the low side for a gainer. Alot of the are upwards of 1200-1500 calories. I wouldnt see a problem with adding it. Just post workout though. Remember shakes can never provide what real whole foods can. What are the nutrition facts on it? carbs protein fats sugars? Also, if its for sale at your gym you probably would be paying more for it. Checkout online sources or amazon. What brand is it?

I was looking at some earlier on actually. I'm about to start bulking.. My opinion is eat as much real food as possible. 1-2 shakes but almost all calories from food.

Also, watch the sodium in those bad boys. Cytosports gainer for example has like 6 or 700 mg of sodium. Idk about y'all but that's enough to give me a moon face.
