alright, see that is the big difference IMO. Like you said above, you think your views are right. I don't think my views are right, its just what i think. And that to me is what seperates us when it comes to these never ending discussions that go nowhere. I call people of faith close minded because they aren't even willing to think that they may be wrong. Or what they believe untrue. i will. i listen to all the arguments but that is the exact reason why i don't have conversations about religion, because people of faith will do nothing but try and prove Gods existence even though i never asked. to me that is close minded thinking.
You see, i don't believe in God, but honestly i have no idea what is out there. And as i have said before, i really don't care. Americans spend too much time looking for answers to try and validate their existence when we should just be enjoying it. Not just people of religion, but especially them. Curiousity is great. I'm not knocking that. But is it that important to found out why to justify your actions or to help guide your life? [rhetorical.
] To me, its not. Never has been. I love my life, my family and i want to enjoy every minute i have on this planet i have with them. I don't need something to validate me. But again, if you do as a person, thats fine, i have no problem with that.
As for the gay marriage thing, you bring up a good point in regards to special interest. But you just lumped in the gay community with "Women, Black, Black women, Hispanic, disabled, etc,etc,etc". What does that mean? Only minorities tax the system? You think there aren't plenty of white Americans adding strain to our resources? To me that argument holds no merit. Yes, you may find more blacks abusing the welfare system, or hispanics abusing the medical system, but you'll find plenty of whites abusing the unemployment insurance benefits system.
If anything, the gay community, especially gay men, are typically white collar, well dressed, homeowners, who pay their bills on time, have secure jobs, and don't tax the economy at all. If anything they help. I know this as I have several gay friends, two cousins and an Uncle that are gay. All if which fall into the category i spoke of.
Now, just so we're clear, because of that is not the reason i mentioned this. Again, honestly, i don't care who marries whom. But i don't discriminate against anyone when it comes to calling them out for being a lazy piece of shit. My baby sisters husband is a white boy from San Diego, and his piece of shit ass sat on unemployment for 99 weeks, claiming to not be able to find a job. Amazingly, when the benefits ran out, he found a job. Ironic huh?
What i'm getting at is we spend too much time in this country worrying about what everyone else is doing and don't take responsibility for ourselves and that is what is ruining this great country.
Not god, or homosexuals, or popsicles or whatever. Its laziness. And that i can not stand.
