Just curious if anyone else smokes ciggys on here
I always get weird looks when I am anal about my diet and gym but when it comes to smoking people question me about it

I have smoked cigarettes before on cycle pretty heavily for about a month and I noticed they were starting to raise my blood pressure and give me headaches. When I cut them out I felt a lot better. I think they contribute to acne as well. Since it is more chemicals that you sweat out. Honestly I just don't find it worth it to smoke cigarettes they have to many negative impacts on health that can be felt pretty fast.

My thing is I got hit with the question actually yesterday, a big guy smoking doesnt that decrease the intenity of your workout, my answer was obviously nope
It was a guy standing at the bus stop asking me how much I weigh and look bigger then I weight, my reply was its all about ilusion, then fired up a dart and ofcourse the questions started flying, he was saying thats the reason I dont goto the gym is because I smoke, bit I was thinkig to myself I guess people just make any excuse why not to goto the gym

As an ex smoker it is my duty to tell you to quit. No offence Matt, but how at cross purposes can you get?!? Dump the darts, pal. They make your insides AND your outsides stink. Stick to the chemicals that make you jacked!!!

Its not about gym intensity..You don't care thay your putting hundreds of different poisons into your lungs?

I usually lay low on the dumb threads like this one, but me and ol Matt hit ology about the same time. Matt all I can say is this man, just know that EVERYBODY that doesn't smoke and comes within 5 feet if you is like WTF! This guy smells like an ash tray. No seriously everybody that doesn't smoke, and for the record, I think everybody who smokes is a second class citizen. I know its wrong but I just can't help it. I think it's all the years my dad smoked and took me to school smelling like the smoke factory. Dude f smoking!!!!

Yes it's best to just quit. It's hard cause they want a customer for life, but you can do it.

You get less oxygen in your blood and like mentioned above there's so many chemicals and poisons.

Google pics or YouTube lung cancer patients and you will definitely change your mind. We're just watching out for you.

I was a smoker up to a year ago. Gave it up for the e-cig and about 3 months ago gave those up as well. Going from experience and having tried to quit numerous times this has been the easiest route for most people. Got a few friends who made the switch as well and now there on their way to quitting all together.

Wow, strong opinions in here. Now I don't smoke cigarettes, but I enjoy cigars....a lot. Hell, I will chew on one all day at work...not lit of course. It does make you stink, but it doesn't make you a second class citizen. If I gave a rats ass what people thought of my scent, I would pass out comment cards.

If there is a good reason to stop, it is because it limits your performance.

Spend the money on AAS instead man. When I quit the day my son was born I calculated that I was saving $200 a month on cigs alone.

Congratulations brother. I know how hard it can be. I quit the day I got back from iraq. Tried to quit during deployment but lost some buddies and picked it right back up that day. Wrong idea

I can't see an issue in a social dart every now and then if out with friends, but fuck smelling like an ash tray 24/7. We breath enough obnoxious shit in on a daily basis in today's society without contributing to out health in a negative way even further.

I do not smoke, but this thread reminded me of a trainer that worked at a local gym in my city. I would see this guy several times a week working with clients, and I have had a few quick conversations with him. Anyway, when I leave the gym I always exit via an alley in the rear of the building in order to avoid a traffic light. One day upon leaving the gym I turn down the alley and there he is smoking behind the gym. I saw him multiple times in the alley smoking throughout his time there.

I did find it interesting that a personal trainer would be smoking behind the gym at which he works. But hey, to each his own. Right?

He no longer works at that gym.
