Ask Anything You Want about TRT Thread........

Had brain cancer treatment for medulla blastoma with surgery, chemo and radiation therapy. Been on trt for five years, also being treated for hypothyroid and adrenal insufficiency. the doctors are thinking I'm panhypopituitaryism. I'm wondering if it is possible to have an hgh defienciey with normal igf1 level and if it is how so?

hows your bloodwork look?

Just wondered if you kind people may be able to help me with some results i got back and how I'm feeling in general?

Im 41 years old, 6ft, 225lbs and about 20% body fat. my diet is good and i normally consume 3/3500 cals a day , my lifestyle is fairly active.

I'm pretty motivated with everything in life and do fairly well, however this consistent nagging feeling of not feeling quite right/in myself is holding me back big time.
i feel a bit anxious, low libido, stressed for no reason, fatigued, generally feel like crap tbh, energy levels are rubbish aswell which really doesn't help lol.

worked out for about 2 + years now doing mainly 3 day full body routines ( regularly changed some exercises aswell as adding some in)
I've not missed many days tbh and even work out whilst on holidays, first thing i do is find a gym lol.

i had a very expensive full panel done privately 2 months ago only to find out later that it only included total testosterone:
Results were: 9.9nmol 286 ng/dl ( drawn at 9am )

took this to my gp who said this was normal?
but he reluctantly agreed to a new blood test i month ago which came back at 13.6 nmol ( drawn at 9.30 am ).

i then sought out a testosterone specialist 3 weeks ago to redo the figures i wanted and he used my last total test of 13.6nmol as the; normal - 0.242 nmol/L (normal range 0.21; 0.70) = 1.78%
Bioavailable Testosterone; normal - 5.67 nmol/L (range 3.5-12.0) = 41.8%
Oestradiol (oestrogen); normal - 103 pmol/L (range 0-150)
Prolactin rmalal - 215 mu/L (range 0; 375)
Sex Hormone Binding Globulin; normal - 41 nmol/L (range 17 ***8211; 66)

if you could be so kind to have a look through these and offer any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly that may be too much for long term.

Dosages of 120-200 per week tend to give the best results. More specifically I would say a large part of what we see is 150 ish to drop you in at 900 trough.

Higher than that and crit problems are likely, especially in guys over 40.

if i was in the us i would of been on your accounts months ago, however being in the uk there is nothing like your service as yet over here.

55 years 5'10'' 200 pounds. TRT for 3 months.
Doctor prescribed 100mg monthly. My doc prescribed muti dose bottles of 100mg/1ml with
3 refiles in 4 months . After researching TRT for a week every chance I got thought it
was safe to up my dose to 100mg's weekly. but the pharmacist would not refill.
Doc knows very little to nothing about TRT. He wont's a blood test but did not say when.
When do you think I should get tested.
Do you think it would be worth showing him the latest info on TRT dosing.
He told me that Test Cyp injected im lasts evenly all month. I told him that the
half life was more like 8 days and he said I did not know how it worked.
My original blood test was 190 TT.

have you tried switching Docs?

How effective are the body recomp results on TRT? I know a lot is diet but can you notice a truely dramatic result

With a good diet, training and sleep you can absolutely make positive changes that are nearly impossible while hypogonadal. The forum is littered with success stories.

Very! I'm one of the "littered successes" Mega mentioned. To his point, with diet, training and sleep (which I had in check prior to TRT) the difference is very noticeable. Not overnight, but over a few months it's definitely obvious. Where i noticed it most was in my overall feeling and mood - infinite improvements. Post TRT with the same training and diet i gained muscle, lost fat, and sport a 4 pack (not bad at 36). Vastly improved my relationship with the Mrs. as well. Yea, it's a commitment and requires discipline and the shots get a bit redundant after a while, but no way I'd go back. Good luck!

Test E Trt

I am 35, natural test windling down. Been doing roids on and off for 5 years. Is one shot per week of test E 250mgs safe to cruise on for the rest of your life? I'd be running hcg as I'm trying to knock up my misses.

I'm 38, eat very clean (primal diet, but not ketogenic), 5'10 150, yeah pretty skinny but cut :)

My sports are jiu jitsu, mauy thai, surfing and crossfit. I've been slowing down and getting A LOT of injuries the past few years. I do a lot of recovery and stretching, rollers, bands stuff. A lot!!
My Testosterone is 680, which wouldn't be considered low T by any doc..but maybe considered "not optimal" I've been considering TRT for about 2yrs, just still not sure. I would love to be able to
keep a little more muscle mass on and have that 18yr old energy and most importantly muscle recovery.

Being my T levels are actually pretty good for a dude pushing 40 should I wait for TRT, am I a good candidate? Would the benefit be substantial getting my T up to 1000? Is TRT a little risky for an otherwise healthy but aging athlete?

start your own thread. At you age height weight I can tell you your diet is can issue. Get your diet in check. You should be 3O pounds heaver lean and strong. I'd get a complex blood panel done and then hire a Diet consultant and see what can be done with Diet and address any hormone issues. Welcome to the site.

Your testosterone is above average for a male actually. You do not need TRT.
