Beast in training
So I was talking to a buddy of mine and he said something that im not sure is true, but sounds theoreticly correct seeing how "tricking" your muscles brings gains. He told me that every once and a while I should change the time of day I workout. Do you guys think this matters or not really? My main gym is pretty busy all day so im usually there late, around 11pm, should I try and start working out in the early a.m for a bit?

i would say it might. changing up a work out like every 3 months helps to keep you from plateauing so i would think if you trained at a different time your bodys clock wouldnt be thinking its training time and it might through it for a loop as does changing up your work out. id like to hear more on this to.

edit- your body might get use to training at lets say noon everyday so you mentally get prepared and pumped up. but if you go a random ass time outta the blue it might shock your body because its not use to being stressed like that at that time.

my thought process is the same as yours, I just wanna know if theres some kind of hard evidence or research behind this.

I work out either in the morning or afternoon 10a-5pm generally some time in there. Every now and then I work out in the evening or at night if I cant sleep or bored 6p-3a.... I have read somewhere that your body cycle goes with the sun basically. When the sun rises so do your natural hormone levels, high around noon... The afternoon 2p-4p is the best time to get a workout in because youre pretty much peaking. Then you eat, rest, and get ready for bed (sun is down). Sleep= repair(GH, etc...).

Dont remember where I read this or how legitimate it is, but it makes some sense to me. Not sure what differences would really be made if you slept during the day and awake at night, cuz it would be daytime somewhere... I suppose whatever your used to... so workout would be best sometime after you wake up and not right before you go to bed.
