Can someone give me a journal article that shows AASs do not cause genetic problems

Hm, i'm not sure one would exist. With what i know, the only way they would is if the mother took them while pregnant. As long as sperm can make it to the egg and can carry the DNA there, that's all that matters. Are you asking to know if your previous use of AAS can bite you in the ass and permanently fuck up your genes/sperm. Extremely unlikely but i never say never, i don't see any mechanism by which androgens or the esters they are attached to could possibly permanently damage your dna. Wish their was a published study for all these little mysteries right :)

Yeah what are you asking changes to your own genes IE SOMATIC or changes to germ line cells like sperm and eggs?

Okay lol pretty much my mom is arguing with me and saying it gonna cause retardation in my kids etc etc

true or false?

why or not?

AAS use doesnt change ur genes so it couldn't have an effect no?

What AAS does is a few things but what you stated is not one of them. Your sperm is already forming with your 1/2 of the dna chain. Unless there is a preconditin in your famiky for su h things there is no way possible for these things to happen out of the blue.

You uave a better chance of natural radiation comming off a rock doing damage to your gonads and sperm than aas.

Yes, something like radiation could potentially harm your dna and sperm. What is your mother's occupation. You can't argue with most people. Let them believe what they want to believe.

AAS is not mutagenic nor does it affect DNA replication or repair, and hence will not harm your germ cells (sperm) nor your somatic cells (the rest of your body). Its really that simple. But you probably will not find a scientific article stating this explicitly, and if a scientist tried to publish such results, they would be laughed out of the business, because it is that obvious. This class of compounds (steroids) also includes glucocorticoids, estrogens, mineralocorticoids, etc, none of which have ever been shown to harm DNA whatsoever. In fact, your body makes lots of cortisol and even testosterone each day, so there is no way "nature" would have evolved the use of these compounds if they had any sort of mutagenic activity.

This.
You're not going to find proof or solid studies on this because there is no reason to think that AAS would cause such things in the first place.

Your mother using the possibility in an argument just seems irrational, it's sort of like avoiding asthmatics for fear that it could be contagious due to lack of studies disproving it.... We don't actually need a study to disprove the minutia because we understand the greater picture.
We know the role that hormones play in the body, what they do & what their limits are. Genetic mutations would not be a sub-class or even intersecting if you were to put them on a diagram, they would just be separate all together.

why would you get into such an argument with your mom. I would never. They will see every substance that you put in your body as a harm...I'm sure mine would.
You could show them millions of studies, she will come back with "but what if....."
I would only open up about AAS usage to a long term GF/wife or very good, loyal friends.
