cops waiting at the mailbox

I think you're just talking about two different things....LILBIT yes, you've seen them open mail,ok it can be done but if there was going to be a legal matter that would be tampering with evidence and not be aloud in the court of law...picking up wat im puttin down?

Here we go again. The Postal inspectors and Postal Police.... Federal agencies. Call me a liar again.

YES they can open your mail. Like I said they are different then the regular police.

Been there...seen it done!

The Postal service retains the right to inspect and seize all incoming and out going packages/mail as they see fit. It is Federal property once it hits the blue collection box or facility.

During the anthrax attacks thru mail we were instructed to confiscate any suspicious mail and turn it into management who then contacted the inspectors who then opened the mail for inspection.

If they feel that a business is shady and are dealing in drugs, porn, etc... they will investigate by any means possible.

I WORK FOR THEM!

They once had a scam dealing with a po box at the post office that I work at where people were sending money to this po box and the business using the po box turned out to be fake and ripping people off. The Postal inspectors came into our building and confiscated all the mail to be opened.

Keep trying to discredit me. I work there you don't.

I said there needs to be a separate warrant for POLICE to open mail.

Stop "going postal", Im just backing up my point.

US customs open my mail...

Im thinking if law enforcement wanted to use the evidence to prosecute you though they would need a warrant first before opening it. Thats why they have to do controlled deliveries and actually observe you accepting the package....

Exactly...a warrant would be needed first before it could be used in a court of law as evidence.

Unless its a suspected terrorist threat I'm guessing. Fore example white powder, wires protruding out the side, ticking ...etc...

Here we go again.

No one is trying to discredit you so don't get your panties in a bunch.

If you'd bother reading everything Blondie wrote, you'd know she's just trying to get to the bottom of things.

I myself have seen way to many different statements over the years about this subject and I for one would like to kwon the truth.

One thing I did find impossible to beleive that you wrote, was that a postal inspector staked out your house for months, there's just no way in hell I'm buying that.....lol

Oh and BTW.....pretty sure you forgot the "ch" on the end of your screen name.

omg..lol..............

Blondie u r right about one thing.. it does have to be a fed investigation... everything to do with the mail and post office is federal .

I had a kid steal my cridit card and order one of those "Flesh lights" its a pocket pussy....

Anyway the cop called the distrubuter of the Flesh light and got the kids PO box shipping info.

Cop went to the post office and asked them to call the owner of the post box and tell em a package arrived for them and to come and pick it up.

Post office called em and kid came by about 1hr later and the cop picked his ass up...

lol @ flesh light, surprisingly i hear they feel very nice.

have you ever had a package seized? do you talk to a lot of peeps? do you open your self up as a juice head? if yo're not doing anything to bring attentiont o yourself, then dont worry about it. you know the simple rules, dont send anythingn to your own house, dont sign for anything, so even if you go there to pick up a pack and it says you have to sign for it and you know you dont have to, then walk away. they need to prove possession. they cant just force it into your hands.

BINGO Richard!!!

The regular police = warrant
Postal Police = seize what they want

If it has to do with your mail then it won't be the regular black and white coming to your house. It will be the Postal Police because it is a federal matter in which case you're screwed.

Stonecold... LOL... is there anything that you will believe? you didn't believe my diet so I put it up and you close the thread with no comment. I guess you would like for me to fax the Postal Inspectors memorandum on me which states from April 2006 until Dec. 2006 I was under investigation and what they observed?!

Did you know that the sky is blue... and gray at times?
