If you or anyone has suggestions for a god gym in the Chicagoland area (think NW side), I am all ears. Chicago in general is a shitty place for hardcore gyms given its size.

If your dropping or throwing the weights around, You are not in control and i bet the form is terrible.
Its not how much weight you can push, Its more about how much weight you look like you can push.
if you gotta throw or slam the weights down it too heavy for ya

The heavy ones get crazy height!! The owner of my gym would kick my ass if i bounced one of his heavy dumbells.I used to drop the weights to avoid injury when I repped out on heavy dumbell press's until one day it bounced and broke a huge mirror on the wall. Made me feel like a jackass. Now I always control it, sit up with it and rack em at the end of each set. I will drop the weight on the last rep of heavy deads or DB rows though.
