>> doc office screw up <<

So my Doc's office screwed up on my order, and I am out of T. I was due on Sunday night, and it is now Tuesday afternoon. I just dosed my typical HCG, but cut my rimidex from 1mg to 1/2mg.

The original issue stems from my coming up 1ml short in my vial. I recognized it ahead, and called my Doc in time for things to be delivered in time. He assured me my meds would had been delivered on Monday, yesterday. Yesterday, they did not come, and when I followed up for the tracking numbers today, the office secretary told me they contacted the compounding pharmacy of which states it was not scheduled to be delivered until Friday. I'm still waiting for a call back from the Doc... it's been 4 hours. This is a motherfucker because I leave out of town on Thursday morning, and will not be back until Monday. Even if it shows up on Friday, I won't be here.

Beyond my frustation with this mishap, have I done the right thing taking the HCG w/a half dose of the Rimidex? I know many think I should only be taking the 1/2mg even with T.

Also, anything I should expect or be concerned about by missing potentially two weeks of dosing?

For the future you may want to order from a UGL to have some backup. It's a pain since Test is considered a controlled substance you can't get a 3 month supply, only one month at a time.

That's simply not true. I get a 13 week supply each time. One 2000 mg vial lasts me about 13 weeks.

Are you in the US? I'm being told by my Doc that it's a controlled substance and can only be given one vial at a time. I guess I should have reworded it. Currently I'm at 100mg a week to start, that's technically a 10 week supply unless the dose gets upped which it may. So, my Doc said one vial at a time.

thats bullshit.. thats your docs way of getting you back in.. the current cap is 20ml.. it used to be 30ml

I can get a script without going in. I honestly think it's a lack of knowledge. Thanks for letting me know though. Now I can pass that on to her. I mean to begin with she set my dose at 50mg a week to start because I was low normal, she figured oh you don't need that much, because we're adding to your test. I had to explain what happens, and that we will be replacing it entirely, because testosterone will shut me down. She also isn't familiar with monitoring pregnenoline, dhea, estradiol, has never prescribed hCG, or an AI for TRT, or been concerned with managing those parts. They think all you need is test, and that's all to be concerned with. She usually prescribed Test Prop for TRT, and I had to explain Test C and E, and how they would be a better choice due to the longer ester, also how Test C has less Test per 100mg's than Test prop, so we could set an appropriate starting dose.

I'm really teaching her, and I'm still learning myself. The good thing is she has been VERY receptive, and very agreeable.

I'm in Florida.
Tell him 1 vial is fine. 1 10ml vial. ;)

Maybe there's a miscommunication with the dr. I started out getting 200mg vials. Then my pharmacy had a back order, so I switched pharmacies. My new pharmacy only sells 2000mg/10ml vials. It's much easier for me with the bigger vial, since I inject 75mg twice a week. If it's any help, my pharmacy is the one with the 3 letter name that begins with c and ends with s.

Yep that's what I'm getting 1 10ml vial. It was 100mg/ml produced by Pfizer. I went to the same pharmacy to begin with. In the long run I'll be going through the one that has green walls, because that is the primary mail order server for my insurance.

Keep in mind that you can order a refill a couple of weeks before you current vial is empty. Do this a few times and you will build up a small reserve in case there is a hiccup in filling your prescription.

3J <> I have no insurance, and all my HRT is entirely out-of-pocket.

HAVASU <> If I had access to a UGL, my life would be much easier (cheaper), but alas, I know no one to help me like that.

Although you've already acquiesced to your Doctor's ignorance, with regard to your one month supply comment, my Doc in FL has prescribed me 200mg 1x wk, and my script is for a 2000mg vial @10ml. As this equals a 10week or 2.5 month supply, it disproves your Doc's 1 month supply limit claim.

GOSSAMER <> Obviously, I had overlooked the easiest solution. I had asked about this avenue in my first week of HRT as I was unfamiliar with & suspect of compounding pharmacies. It was explained to me that local pharmacies were cost prohibitive, and that I was more than welcome to use them if I chose to. Honestly, I took it for truth, and just wiped the idea out of my head. In this current scenario, it might had been the best option, but I was able to get my Doc office to contact my compounding pharmacy to get them to overnight the shipment of which is claimed to be arriving in the morning. That said & being in your same state, what does the bottle cost from the big red pharmacy? Now, I wonder if I can just buy local at the same price or less. Maybe my Doc gets some type of kickback from the compounding pharmacy he recommended me, and that is why he wants me to stay there.

I pay out of pocket, and it's $58.xx for a 10ml/200mg per ml vial of cypionate. Like I said, it lasts me about 3 months. So, that's about $5 a week.
