Got bloodwork done, are my test levels considered low?

So I finally got some bloodwork done and was curious about my test levels. Was thinking about running a test-e cycle and had it all mapped out but I was wondering if I can convince my Dr. to prescribe it to me instead. Do I have a compelling case?

Here are my results:

Free Test 63pg/ml
Total Test 362 ng/dl

I have all my lipid panel results as well, ...From what I have read, seems my total is in "normal range" but on the low side, no?

If so, that would sure explain alot.

BTW, my stats are:
35yo
5'7" 156 lbs
15-18% bodyfat

Workout 4-5 x a week.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

If your doc is an IDIOT like most with little to no real world HRT/TRT experience are, then he'll probably tell you that you are fine... "in range". And hey, he may even write you some Androgel OR offer you a shot of test once every ten days to two weeks! He'll probably tell you that you don't need Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), as he he allows your balls to shrivel into little frog nuts:frogjump:.... and tell you that there is no reason to take an aromatase inhibitor.... So you can grow a set of tits just in time for bikini season:bikini:!!!

Sorry bro, had to get that out. ;-)
You are 35. Test levels quickly approaching HELL:devil2:....

Yes, You are a candidate for therapy. Jump on our website. See what our clients have to say about us. Drop me an email. I'll get you dialed in on a physician prescribed protocol and you can do this the right way.

Best advice is to work with Chip and you won't be disappointed. The good news is that you are already being proactive and doing your research. My testosterone was lower than yours and I am much younger and trust me, I felt like hell before I started TRT.

I have been on Chip's protocol for about a month now and I can't believe how much better I am now. Night and day difference. Unfortunately I was put through the ringer first with several doctors before I found Maximus HRT and got squared away. Best of luck with everything!!

Oh and one last thing. My doctor's range for Total Test is 160-750. Extremely low numbers. My old doctor would say you are on top of the world with your numbers, but that is complete and utter BS.

Some other labs range start at 350-1200 for total test. You would be at the damn lowest of the low on that range.

yeah I already sent Chip an email. The results basically solidified my suspicions. I knew it wasn't extremely low but I also knew that I was nowhere near the high "normal range" either.

Mine were that at the peak of natural production and I could barely get out of bed. I'd stick with Chip.

Exactly. You have to get to where you feel good like you once used too. And not to make you feel like an old man, but it's true, there are some 85 year old men that probably have more test than you at that level. Good news is you will be on track in no time.

Yeah thing is, i've always felt lethargic and tired no matter how much sleep i got. And I remeber playing basketball and seeing dudes that I was in way better shape than outrunning me. And everytime I went to the Dr i would tell him this and he never suiggested low T as a culrpit. The only reason why he asked for the bloodwork was becasue i told him I wanted to try Viagra. Before that he would always say, "Get more sleep". That was his answer for everything. F*cker! And even now, I called to get my blood results and he said everything was "normal." MFer! Getting Drs to do anything for you is worse than pulling teeth...

Oh yeah. It is a roller coaster for sure. When my low T test came back, the nurse called me and said everything was normal and that they would mail me my results. I got my results, saw that I was a low level so I confronted my doc. He said I was in range and fine and then he said, "Well you are a little on the lower side, but still should be fine." I was like WTF??

I called Chip that next day and the rest is history. LOL.

Yeah most docs are a bunch of jokers. They just glossed over my 300 test levels until I said...well the top range is 1250 and mine are 300 and I am in the prime of my life. WTF is that about? Only then would they say oh yeah you are right, let's treat you. And of course what they gave me was inadequate.

My doctor was actually pretty good at agreeing I had Low T. I am 28 years old and these were my numbers -

A.M. - 385 total, 97 free

A.M. - 453 total, 115 free

P.M. - 271 total, 66 free

P.M. - 355 total, 87 free

But that was about the only thing he was good at. He prescribed me 5% androgel, sent me home and said see him in 6 months. I asked him about doing self injections and was told it was a controlled substance. I later found out he simply didn't know it was even legal to prescribe a patient self injections.

Once I tried the angrogel for a month, and it wasn't working, I finally got him to give me my own Test Cyp to inject. Guess how much and how often he said to inject? 200mg every 3 weeks.

Needless to say, I found Chip, and the world is perfect again.

Thats true right there. What I told the Doc was that I am not looking for super doses of Test. I just want to feel good and be where I feel I need to be. There is nothing wrong with being on the higher end of that scale if possible as long as you are feeling good.

It is just amazing the difference you get when you work with someone who is specialized in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) like Chip.

And WJones, my doc tried going the Androgel route too and I wasn't having it. If I have to go on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), I am going to do it the right way from the start. No BS.

How much does insurance cover, if at all? If you don't mind me asking. Thats the only thing that is concernign me right now...

I pay a lot of money for my insurance and Chip is still cheaper than what I have to pay out of pocket.

Also, one more question: at what time of day are T levels the highest? In th a.m. upon waking right? Or does it fluctuate up and down all day?:sleep2:

Highest in the AM and then decline throughout the day. Most tests are performed in the morning for that reason.

My insurance doesn't cover testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as I assume a lot of them don't. Any ideas about that one, please chime in?

If I'm not mistaken, any lab work, physical exams, dr visits are covered under the FSA. But not sure about the other stuff. I guess it depends on how your insurance views it.

I'm pretty sure there are peaks and valleys throughout the day, though a lot of it depends on if you got a good night's sleep. So get rested and take the test in the morning. I doubt it changes by more than 20% throughout the day until night time.
