growing on days off

I realize that we do most of our growing when we sleep or when we're resting, but have you guys actually noticed growth during your days off?

My workout split is EOD. The off days helps my mind rest from the "ball to the wall,kill the weights attitude" Its tough to do continuous days in a row. So mentally im way more refreshed.

As far as physical grow...ummmm thats kinda hard to measure but im sure there is. Think about it your sore from the workout on your off day, so you eat high protein and drink plenty of water. Thats gotta be repair/growth IMO.

indeed,just eat clean and alot of protein
 
Not sure how you can notice "growth" with just a day off. I personally take a week off every 3 months and when I come back I'm always way refreshed and all my maxes go up.
 
I almost alway s feel fuller after a break unless it was from the flu, or surgery..stronger too...when I was younger I d swear I d shrink if I missed say 3 day s ...such a dumbass. But then I was in the gym 2.5 hour s a day or doing a split........

me too! I have learned you have to rest and eat ,to continue to grow.
 
im a bit mad and train far too often, today is my first day off in ten days! i am not working much at the moment and my life is revolving ariound the gym. went in yesterday and it was rubbish so today know i need a break. I always feel like im smaller if i miss couple days, know sounds crazy. i do think if i feel good and the sessions are bang on then go for it but realise i need to get more rest in. just nice to ssee that some of you use to feel the same way in your early days of training.

Overtraining mcu lol? I'm guilty of it too brother(think most of us are).
