Just got back from the Red Cross

Went to a blood donation appointment at the Red Cross today. Everything went smoothly except I went after working out so I had to wait until my heart rate was under 100bpm. Even with the added wait time it took less than 45min start to finish. Just a friendly reminder to you guys, especially the TRT and blast & cruise guys, don't forget to donate regularly. You can go every 56days and that will be plenty for most people. Keep an eye on your RBC and HCT levels and take preventative measures...donate blood! You can schedule an appointment at

American Red Cross - Give blood

Most of us are sticking ourselves multiple times a week with needles so even with the Red Cross 'harpoons' there's almost no reason not to donate. Stay safe and you could save a life.

Hell yes. A little blood letting is key in this game.

At ole miss, at a blood drive a nurse called out" you got blood to spare ?'

" Yes but if you put my blood in a person they may start to swell...or get mad !"
880 test 400 deca eq orals..I was an anabolic academic student loan broke ass fucker driving an 79 Riviera bouncing bars, mowing yards, moving gear and doing your s his hers...... gf.

What type of donation would a guy on trt give?

The same; whole blood every 56 days. I personally prefer platelet apheresis as it drops that hematocrit lower than whole blood, but it does take longer (1-2hrs). At least they have free movies and I get a gift card to Walmart/Home Depot when I'm done after 15-20 donations. :)

Thanks!

The donation clinic here is pretty awesome, they have volunteers in the kitchen and when your done they give ya a piece of homemade apple pie and ice cream.

Yup, did my first last month, go again in January.
Was blown away by how nice and actually appreciative the staff was to me.
My local blood donation keeps it local too. There is a constant shortage and surgut ides are often postponed because of a lack of blood.
Felt good emotionally, and felt better physically after.

we dont like each other but I do give you props for this thread. im a type o universal donor and I always encourage others to give. ive never needed blood, but you never know when you or a loved one will.

What's past is past, let's both squash our shit. I don't want to give 3J anymore grief either lol. Anyway we may not always see eye to eye and we will probably still disagree on points but how about we keep it professional? I will drop the past and continue without disrespecting you in the future.

I'm type O as well which is why they called me out the blue for a donation. Seems like they're always in 'need' but they've never called me before so i scheduled an appointment. I too have never needed a transfusion but family members and friends have had the need for one. I will continue to donate so long as they accept my blood. Thank you for your insight and thank you also for donating when so many others refuse to out of greed or some other silly reason.

I donate every few months and I have a pretty bad vasovagal response. I tell the nurse beforehand and get a cold towel on my forehead and a apple juice with a straw next to me. Even managed to convince a cute one that a kiss on the cheek would make me feel better. Needless to say I was sly and pulled a fast one on her

Depends on how your body reacts, everyone is different. The point is to keep your hematocrit within a healthy levels. High levels of testosterone encourage your body to produce more red blood cells.

I just went 2 days ago also for Whole blood, was in and out in an hour.
They always call me since I'm o+ when ever it's time.
My last blood screen Was a few weeks back and I was sitting at 48.8 which isn't bad considering I was at 52 around 7/29 on cycle.
Just started a cycle 12/1 figured if I donate now it will raise back into the 50s by the time I can donate again.

So it is okay to donate when you are on ?
That's an ethical question to be honest. Some guys feel it could cause problems for a donor, but according to the Red Cross:
in general, vitamins, hormones, insulin, birth control pills, and medication for high blood pressure are acceptable.

I'm under the impression that any additional hormones present are destroyed by the liver of the patient and they are in such small quantities, that it shouldn't be harmful. Again, this is my opinion based in fact, but as there isn't a way to prove it (I've yet to see a study) - I can't claim it as such.

I have donated on cycle in the past.

Interesting to hear this because I remember talking about it with my girlfriend. She said that I definitely could not, now she wouldn't be qualified to know this for sure and by the sounds of it no one would be. I'm assuming her reasoning was that it would have a negative effect on the individual that received the blood, either that or the other obvious reason, that women just like to argue ;) juuuustt kidding

If you answer their questions truthfully, you will not be able to donate blood. Obviously many guys don't tell the whole truth. That might be what your girlfriend is referring to.
