Lots of ED problems lately...

So I've been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for about 4 months now.

The doctor lowered my dose and I went back down to 290 about 2 weeks ago, and now he shot me back up to regular dose and I'm guessing I'm at where I was, 800.

So I've been noticing A LOT of ED / No orgasm issue. I've had minor ED issues before (I'm on Celexa). But never as bad as this...

Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance!

Have you checked your estradiol and prolactin?

I did the E2, still waiting for lab to come back. I did not do prolactin... Should I? It's another $20. And I'm cash.

At this point, wait to see where your E2 comes in at. If that doesn't provides answers then look at your prolactin.

We need a LOT more detail. Actual doses, injection frequency, e2 blocker use, body fat percentage, ranges for blood work, any hCG use? etc.....

Hmm ok. I already do test every 3.5 days though. Also, any idea what dose of arimidex? What's the difference between that and aromasin?

You could try .25mg of arimidex twice per week. I haven't used aromasin, so I can't recall the dosing on that.

The other option is to lower your Test dose. That should get your E2 back in line.

Hmm. Lower my T even if my test is only at 850?

Also, the doc called. He's a bit unsure because his other testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) patients, none of them are on AI.

He's worried that he would "shut my system down" for the rest of my life or something like that. Sounded a bit serious.

Is testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) longterm bad?? All I hear from people is, "You on steroids?? Dont! That's the worst thing for you!..." So am I just digging myself an early grave? I feel so much better on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) now at 850ish... I was 290.

So would having Aromatase inhibitor (AI) help me improve my symptoms? Sounds like a very serious pill... What are the side effects?

Thanks guys.

If you feel so much better, doesn't that mean that people that tell you this is the worst thing are morons? dont listen to them. they dont know shit.
Your doctor is afraid because he doesnt know this drug. Take 0.25mg twice per week. take it the day after you inject, or two days after you inject. Then do the labs again, to see where you are. you wanna be in range 30-40.

So my doc hesitant to prescribe because his other testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) patients are not on it and he's inexperienced in it, but he did say he's here to "satisfy" me. If I ask him to get me arimidex, will he be scrutinized by medical boards?? Is arimidex a "serious" drug?

I think you need to spend some more time reading on this forum. Read the TR
t stickies. Read the posts other guys put up. We seem to keep going around in circles here. You kind of keep asking the same questions and getting the same answers that you don't seem to like. I'm more than happy and willing to help educate you just like guys before did for me, but you have to be willing to put some effort in too.

So I will try to answer some of your questions again.

Test aromatizes (converts) into estradiol. Too much (or too little) estradiol is bad for men. The more test you take the more aromatization you have. So you choices are limit your test dose to avoid too much estradiol or take an Aromatization Inhibitor. Both are fine choices. But if you want the higher TT levels that so many guys enjoy you will likely have to use an AI.

AI's don't shut your HPTA down. Exogenous Testosterone does though. For most guys, being shut down is bad. Lucky for you, there is no need to worry about that since you suffer from Hypogonadism. :-)

All people are 'on steroids". Men and women both have testosterone and estrogen coursing through their veins. Being that you have hypogonadism though, you don't have enough Test. So you are replacing it with a bottle and injections. You just getting yourself back to where you should be normally if everything in your body was working fine. Do they begrudge the diabetic that can't make insulin? What if you lost both testicles in a skiing accident -- would it be OK to take steroids then?

We have already answered one of your posts about what the symptoms of high estadiol are. Go back and read that again.

Try reading these too.
