Penetration

Sorry PB, this thread is about pinning, not the other kind of penetration...

No matter where I pin on the right side of my body, the needle always goes in easy. But the left side is a different story. It's almost as if I have to get a running start just to get the needle to penetrate the skin. Glute, quad, delt, it doesn't seem to matter.

Why is this? And the left side seems to be more sensitive too.

I have the exact same problem with my left leg. Any time I inject the left quad it's always horribly sore and gets swollen. Right leg is easy as cheese.. I don't get it.

Yeah, it's really weird. When I get tatted, my left side can tolerate the pain a lot easier than the right side. It's the exact opposite when it comes to pinning. The pain I can handle, I just find it odd that the act of the needle penetrating the skin when pinning is difficult.

Are you using the right are left hand to pin the left side? Wich do you use to pin the right? I find when I use my left hand my technique is just bad. I'm right handed! Just a thought?

I'm pretty ambidextrous but I use my right hand to pin, which is my dominant hand. I could understand if it was only my left glute due to the angle of using my right hand but even when pinning my left quad with my right hand it seems like my skin is made of steel.

same here, i thought it was my left side until i used my right hand to do my left thigh one time
