Pop goes the ...

Well I am having a shitty week.. My shoulder has been buggin me so today went into the gym just do do some cardio and some light back.

I warmed up and did my first set of deads. No problem. Added a little more weight and Went to do my 2nd and POP.. Felt something pop right below my left glute. I stopped lifting. Streatched a bit. It was ok to walk on but not to bend down.

I have been lifting for over 6 years pretty much injury free except for the minor shit here and there. Never had any ham string issues.

Did I just fuck my hamstring up? It is really tender right now I can walk but getting in and out of the car or sitting on the toilet is painful. .

I am sitting here with an icepack on it now. I have no health ins so can't goto the dr.
 
Its going to hurt like a bitch tomorrow. They usually are not horrible when they happen because they are warm and blood is there. After you cool down and wake up tomorrow it will probably be bad if you did anything serious.

Like I said about the shoulder injury. Try to keep the area sweating through the night. The more blood and nutrients you can get there the quicker your body can repair whatever is wrong.

Maybe try sleeping on your back tonight with a heating pad on LOW, you don't want to burn your skin. Maybe even put a towel or sheet in between.
 
I have popped my hamstring 3 times in the last five years, result of a poor/no warmup. Depending on how much of a pop it was it could be healed in 2-4 weeks. Keep ice/heat on it and massage it regularly. I would dead, but only very light weight so you don't exacerbate the problem. I had a ham injury that kept me from going heavy for a couple of months, but it was a large pop.

UPDATE. Thanks for the input. I called in a favor and a buddy of mine that works at a ultra sound place got me in for free. Had a sports medicine guy check me out. Its not my hamstring. He didn't see any issue in my Ham string. I can't remember what he called it bu said it was a rear groin pull. Its so fucking painful. He said to rest for 2 days and see if it feels better if not I will have to find a dr to re evaluate. I am going to search for the name of what he called it.

Anyone know what the fuck he is talking about?
 
I don't know but thats why I don't do deads or squats.

I cant' find what the fuck its called. I cant bend. Taking a shit should be fun.

I should be able to find it for you tomorrow. Ill post up some names of what it could be and if you recognize any. Lol thats the only way we're going to know though. After we find out maybe someone on here has hurt the same part and can help.
 
Thanks. I am laying here on the couch all emo and shit. I am 2 weeks into my hard core diet/training. This just blows.
