Steroids are NOT birth control for guys

I can't tell you how many times I've heard steroids was a great birth control for guys. I have to say that this is complete bogus! I was on 15 week cycle when my daughter was concieved. It may lower your sperm count but it only takes one swimmer to reach the egg and its game over! Beware!

My gf is in school to be a CNA. She took a sperm sample of mine to look under a microscope and she did say that my sperm did not look normal compared to regular sperm.

As crazy as it sounds, I'm actually trying to go sterile with AAS as my muscle gains progress. Hopefully I do go sterile in the future(currently on trt).

OK, the research on this is pretty solid, and the final conclusion is that high doses of testosterone can act as birth control in some men, but not others. Seems it is highly variable, but some guys show complete loss of spermatogenesis on test, while others do not. And there is no way of knowing which category you are in unless you submit a semen sample for analysis to a fertility clinic (or you can do it yourself if you have access to a phase contrast microscope). SO, for some men, being on cycle will make them sterile, but not others.

lets say you are one the men who become sterile while using gear... is it permanent or reversible? how about for someone on trt?
