TRT Plateau or Tolerance Issue

Quick question for the board here. I have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for about a year (avg of 200 mg a week, Anastrozole 1 mg 3 days a week, and 500 units of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) weekly). The first 6 months were incredible (high libido, fat loss, muscle gain, improved energy), but over the last 6 months, I have felt a huge decline. Still in decent shape (better than at the beginning), but energy is no longer boosted, libido is average at best, and gym gains are stagnant. Is this normal to feel? Is there a way to improve it?

Thanks for your feedback.

i'd try switching up my ester of testosterone.

Last bloods look good. Maybe you've got used to the new great feeling of normal test levels? Also I'd switch up diet and workout program if those gains/changes have slowed.

What are DHEA and tyroid levels?

Chip, I am currently using cyp. I used to use enanthate, but would have some sort of reaction to it. Always sore as Hell a day or 2 after after injection at injection site. I think it was because of the oil used. The Cyp I use is in sesame. Not sure what the Enanthate was... What would you recommend I switch to? Appreciate your help...

PERSONALLY, I'M A TEST PROP GUY, MYSELF. I'M NOT SURE IF ITS JUST ME, OR IF OUR PHARMACIES ARE JUST SO GOOD, BUT I NEVER HAVE INJECTION SITE PAIN FROM TEST PROP. I KNOW THAT A LOT OF BRO'S SAY THAT THEY DO, BUT IMO, ITS REALLY WORTH A SHOT.... (NO PUN INTENDED) (MAYBE A LITTLE) :bigok:

Chris, what does low igf do? I'll research some, but curious if any one here knows... The "normal" range on the report says 101-267...

Either switch esters or switch to Letrozole. I made the switch to Letrozole 2.5mgs weekly from aromasin and I feel just like I did when I started! great

Your bloodwork looks fine, although total test a little on the edge where complications can sometimes result. Unfortunately, there are other system failures that can cause the same effect as low test: namely, thyroid and adrenal. I believe that's why MoparMuscle asked about thyroid and adrenal function labs.

You could also be building up a tolerance to the Anastrozole. Maybe time to switch to aromasin or something else (in the same drug family).

Hmm... I never thought of that. I will do some checking and see what I can do there. Chip, I may have to check with you before I renew any exams with my current clinic. I appreciate the feedback...

Just ordered my test prop yesterday.. Making the switch! I'm excited about it.. More Stable blood levels and less estrogen sides.. It's got to be the best way to go.. But, I would definitely get your adrenals and thyroid checked out also..
As far as letro.. Ummm.. That shit can crash your estogen fast.. Personally I would not go that route..

Hi Chip, since you are a Test Prop guy, how often do you pin the Prop per week?

I tend to build up a tolerance to AI's
I find myself switching between about every 6 months. I have tried all three but mostly switch between A-dex and exemastane. I dont think I ever got the dose quite right on Letro

Thyroid (TSH) was at 2.6 - appears to be within normal range. What are the tests for the additional adrenals?

And, if I was building up a tolerance to anastrozole, wouldn't my estrogen levels show this (estrogen levels seemed fine as of last blood work), or am I missing something?

Thanks for the feedback
