Tren Decreases Muscle Protein Synthesis

No, that wasn't a typo. All AAS function via the same androgen receptor; but different compounds produce their effects in very different ways. Some compounds like Test and NPP work by increasing the rate of protein synthesis. However, it is not correct that all AAS increase muscle protein synthesis; in fact trenbolone acetate (TBA) is known to actually decrease new protein synthesis. See references below. Then how does it increase lean muscle mass? Net protein accretion is determined by two rates, the rate of protein synthesis and the rate of protein degradation. High rates of both result in high protein turnover, but not necessarily high protein accretion or retention. Test and NPP both increase the rate of protein turnover, by increasing both the rate of synthesis and degradation; however they increase synthesis more than they do degradation, resulting in increased protein accretion. In other words, they cause you to produce more new protein than is lost, so your muscles grow. Tren (TBA) works the opposite way it decreases both protein synthesis and degradation, reducing protein turnover; but it decreases degradation more, so net protein accretion is increased. In other words, some compounds work by increasing anabolism while others decrease catabolism.

What is the practical significance of this? Anabolic compounds, like NPP are better suited to bulking, because your main focus is increasing protein synthesis to build more new muscle. Anti-catabolic compounds, like Tren, on the other hand, are better suited to cutting, because they work by preventing protein degradation. Tren can increase muscle size, even in a caloric deficit, by preventing the loss of muscle protein, which, also, forces your body to get its energy from fat, burning more fat. This also explains why stacking is so effective. Tren taken alone is not as effective as when combined with test. By combining anabolic compounds with anti-catabolic compounds in the same cycle, you are getting the best of both worlds, increasing protein synthesis and decreasing protein degradation at the same time. The bottom line is that different compounds work thru distinct mechanisms, producing different effects. Understanding these differences is important to get the greatest benefit depending on one's goals. I have heard countless times that all AAS can be used for either bulking or cutting, etc. And that all AAS work the same way by increasing protein synthesis. These simplistic statements are just plain false, and reveal a great ignorance of the distinct mechanisms of action of different compounds.

that is very interesting. that would explain the whole "higher feed efficiency" theory behind tren. Could you post up the study, or a link to it? I'd love to read up on this in detail.
 
Didnt read your article its too long.. why would you get bigger on tren if less protein is being synthesized?

Complete bullshit.
Any compound that increases protein synthesis OR decreases protein breakdown will help with bulking.
Both these processes leads to an increase in net protein balance, which is the important point for building muscle NOT simply protein synthesis.


I want to see the references the author alludes to before completely discrediting him but the way this article was written suggests he's pretty clueless.
The studies I've seen, admittedly mostly in animals, suggests the complete opposite with tren actually increasing protein synthesis.
His other point about separating protein synthesis & breakdown into two different imaginary categories for your goals is laughable since both of this processes help bulking & cutting.

IMO, without adequate references this article means nothing.

Google "tren decreases protein synthesis", its the first link to a forum - beginning with worldclass..

The guy who posted provided terrible references with no full link, no full title, author,date, etc. This increases my suspicion that he probably misinterpreted the data - my nice way of saying he's clueless.
 
Yeah I have seen this before... From my understanding certain AAS are better "anti-catabolics" and some are better "anabolics" if you want to get simplified.

Everyone knows there is no better compound for building quality muscle and no other steroid that has a better anabolic/androgenic ratio so lets leave it at that and not make a NASA shuttle launch out of it.

Agreed... It hands down blows any other AAS out the water whether it be for cutting, bulking, recomping.

Hell I'm almost thinking of doing a NPP/Tren Ace blast in winter for 8 weeks... Tren is the shit. But I don't want to make a habbit of it, such an awesome compound comes at a price to run.

I was told my Tren E was heavily under dosed...Which confirmed why I wasn't feeling much compared to last time. Long story I don't want to get into it, but I changed over to a different lab and Tren Acetate at 100mg/ml... In Week 1 of it of Week 6... Feels good lol!

175mg Test per week
280mg Tren Ace per week (80mg EOD)
.5mg Adex EOD
60mg Ralox ED
.5mg Prami ED (ramping to 1mg though)
10mg Cialis ED... Which since starting it I have noticed my breathing is better and I don't get so damn puffed out easily! Has me hard all night, waking up hard, kinda annoying at times but at least my BP is good along with pumps.

The study he references shows positive protein increase and experience also proves this. In other words OP = 0, Trenbolone = 2.
