Update after meeting endo

i really dont see a need for hrt with those results..

This is my problem currently.
5 weeks ago my TT was 400 ng/dl a month after restart. Estradiol(regular) 35 pg/ml.
Did labs this week will see how my levels are.

What's annoying is these docs will tell you your levels are fine. You could be at 300ng per DL and the endo will say your ok. Just because your within a reference range that goes up to 1250! They take an average with guys your age lets say 27, and 90 year olds lol. There should be reference ranges for certain age groups. Testosterone is the King and if you have it high with the other hormones dialled in you will feel fantastic. Just thought id throw my thought out.

Yeah it can boost it by a heap, especially if LH is low. As much as 150% or more. If you stay on it for long enough, when you come off most/some people's levels will remain higher than it was before. Not as high as when on the clomid, but it can bring your baseline up a bit.

If I was you I'd just take the clomid (or Torem, if you cant handle clomid for sides) and get bloodwork after two weeks. If your e2 is high, and it probably will be, use a low dose AI alongside your clomid. Then get bloods done after another two weeks or so... Reassess.

Ok so I think I should give clomid a try , I will start it as u said 50 mgs every alternate day , and how bout adex @ 0.25 mgs every day ?

Yep sounds good. If it were me though, I'd leave out the adex for now and just add it in if bloodwork says you need to - not before. You can, up to you. So long as your checkin bloods you'll be golden.

My own baseline is 522ng/dl. I've only been on the clomid about 6 weeks.. Gonna get bloods done next week and see where the 50mg ed is putting me. After that I'll drop it to 50mg eod and stay on that for a minimum of 3 months.. Then come off, wait 6 weeks and get bloods.

I mentioned Adex cos if u see my e2 is already out of range( 43)
And in my case do u think I should also start 50 mgs/ day ?

Can't remember. Was that E2 result with the Sensitive or Regular assay?

It was regular ,back here where i live they didnt knw sensitive ! i have tried two of the biggest labs here and they never understand abt the sensitive one ! the latest is in the pic i have posted in this thread!

Also guys it might sound like a stupid to all of you but finally i m trying to understand one thing -relation between TEST and E2 , i got my tests done thrice

In FEB . i got my first ever tests done
TT was 356 , E2 -64 and VIT.D - 4.4

IN APRIL 2nd tests :-
TT - 387, E2- 53.5 , VIT.D - 48

IN MAY 3rd TEST,
TT - 396 , E2 - 43

Now the differnce between these tests are the first 2 time tests are from the same lab and i got them done with fasting around 4 pm and i woke up around 12 tht day ,fasting got a little extra (had to fast cos got other tests too)

and the last test which i got done was frm a diff. lab and got only tested for test, total and free , prolactin and e2 , so wasnt fasting this time as my endo said no need to fast for these tests and got it done as soon as i woke up around 8.20 am

so , my question here is , i m estabilishing a relation here between my e2 and test , if u guys notice with every test my e2 levels have dropped and with a drop in e2 my test has increased a bit though not too much but still! could it be because of my vit. D ? cos i started taking vit.d supplement!

so now as i m planning to give clomid a try, should i first bring my e2 down by using some Adex and see for sometime if it helps me in bringing my test up ? or it wouldnt do much help ? Or should i start my clomid simply ?
thnks

The testosterone and estrogen molecules are really quite similar so it's not unreasonable to make the assumption that they pretty much have the same mass. Therefore, a reduction in E2 effected by reduction of aromatase can be expected to increase testosterone by roughly the same amount.
Say you were to bring your E2 by 15 ng/dL, you could expect an equal increase of TT, not more.

It would require a very light touch with adex to achieve the kind of reduction you'd be looking for... IMO not worth it and definitely not at the same time as starting clomid... you want to make one change at a time so you can better isolate the results.

so in tht case i think it would b better to start of with clomid only at this time right ? i should try to increase my test levels first i think! should i start clomid everyday or EOD and after how much time after starting clomid should i go for blood work?

and ya how come my e2 dropped by 20 pts on its own ? was it VIT.D

Regular is usually overstated 10-29 points? So your estradiol probably is not elevated.

Vitamin D affects testosterone levels. Try to get your Vit D higher. If it help, I take 10,000 iu daily and that puts me at about 90 (30-100 range). Just don't go over the normal range.

1) You had the regular assay done which is not as accurate. That likely explains some of the variation.

2) Labs were done at different times of the day. Should always be first thing in the morning after waking up for Natty. That is causing difference.

3). Vitamin likely has changed your hormone profile.

4). There are probably other variables at play.

Good point.

Off adex and after restart my TT was 180 ng/dl and Estradiol was 38 pg/ml. Took 0.25 mg adex and did labs 24 hours later and Estradiol was 16 pg/ml with TT climbing to 311 ng/dl.
Both these results were 48 hours apart. Shows adex brings down estradiol and there is a resulting doubling in TT.
